The anti-chrst is a fallacy started by the religious leaders of the western world to make the masses return to the church.
Who cares if the son is targeted it would be far more important if the father was targeted, that thought process infers
that Taylor isn't anyone of importance. She'll have to give her horns back; but who to?

Not true. The idea of the anti-Christ is that people will choose the anti-Christ willingly over anything Godly and in order to do this, the anti-Christ will be an attractive, seductive leader who will right some long-standing wrongs, proclaim himself to be a bringer of peace then claim to be God. Think of how Hitler "made the trains and buses run on time" when the hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic had made that impossible and he brought Germany out of hyperinflation and stabilized the Deutschmark as a currency. Hitler had a charm that made him attractive to the German people. He stopped short of calling himself God, so he was not the ultimate anti-Christ but his history was a clear indication of how an anti-Christ would work.

Jasmine in Angel was an anti-Christ character who commanded instant obedience and an end to war.
