That teacher that is giving the lesson on The Black Death in Welcome to the Hellmouth cracks me up... Her clothes and hair are HORRIBLE and her acting was hilarious. Everytime she says "Steve?" and points to the back of the room I laugh...


Sorry, I'm rewatching Buffy all the way through starting with S1 starting today and I just watched this and had to post about it. LOL

yea I do notice some bad acting sometimes.

I always catch...ok let me set the scene first...the epic single shot at the start of S3 as they start in the library and then show Cordy and Xander meeting and Oz and Willow talking and Giles and yea...lots of stuff going on and they all do it flawlessly...except for one single teacher who looks directly at the camera as its going by...its really noticeable and annoys me everytime. The funny thing is they used him on a couple occasions after that.

Certain other things bother me sometimes, usually relating to fight sequences where we can tell its not the principle actor. And if you mix episodes a lot, the fights are pretty lame in S1-2 compared with the rest of em.

when I next watch the start of Season 3, that is going to drive me CRAZY! Haha.

Seriously, I get really annoyed when its so obviously not the actors in the fights. I understand that they might not be able to do their own stunts and everything, but they should stick to behind shots so you can't see their faces!

And it must be in Season 2, but there's a fight scene when Buffy has short hair, but then it goes to a back of the head shot of the stunt double who has long, brown, wavy hair. - Maybe my behind shot theory doesn't always work!

got a quick cap so we can all see what were on about...its hard to get the cap where he looks exactly in the cam...but its fairly obvious when your watching...

There are plenty other examples of bad acting though (Glory springs to mind actually). Anyway, while scanning through some random screen caps i made...i saw this...and its so hilarious I may as well post it at the same time lol...

Glory was pretty terrible in that episode where she landed the lead role in Hamlet. I've never really understood how that episode was supposed to advance the plot anyway.

I think I saw Angel's stunt face most clearly in Choice, in the scene they fight in Mayor's office.

The acting in Go Fish always bugs me - when the coach and nurse are arguing, and when the coach is talking to buffy about the discoveries in the soviet union. The bad writing didn't help, but the acting was also bad in that episode.

I try not to look at their faces when its a fight scene.
Just the body when they kick and punch, because it's harder to tell that it's not them.
I like to think it's them doing all the acting, stunts included
