I've just spent almost 13 hours at work trying to set up our wireless internet at work here because out tech guy does nothing...and I need help. This one's for you n4h! lol
We have our internet coming into a box - not sure what it is. I'd call it a router, but it must be our broadband box.
Anyway, THAT goes via ethernet cable to a router. Also, several computer connect directly to the main box as well.
Now I've just connected via ethernet cable a new wireless access point that's approx. 200 feet away.
I've confirmed that the ethernet is carrying the internet because when plugging the LAN into a laptop it works.
Our wireless computers are picking up a signal from the new WAP.
BUT they are getting no internet. They ARE picking up wireless from the router itself.
I've tried a hundred different ways to do the settings on the new WAP but to no avail. Does anyone actually know what they are doing and can tell me how I get these two things to talk to each other?
Thanks!
