I'm trying to start a thread for a fanfic in the Watcher Diaries, but a little error message comes up saying
You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 15 posts or more.

I don't have any URLs in my post and I deleted the link in my signature and it still comes up with the error message.
 
Hmm...now that is odd. Can you PM me? I'll give you an email address to send me the fanfic, so I can have a look.

Try to send the actual fanfic in the PM though. See if that works.

My email link might work too. You can try that. Click my name on the left, then send an email.
 
It could be something to do with the "Auto-parse URLs" feature. It tends to be a little over-zealous. Have you tried turning it off (by checking the little box) then pasting your fic, then posting? I know that's tripped me up in VMs many a time.
 
No, this means you have to have made 15 posts before you can post a URL link to an outside website or picture, and your count at the moment is 3, so only more posts in any thread of your choice to go.

If she sends me the fic I can test it to see if any URLs magically turn up. As for auto-parse that shouldn't be the problem. If it is it needs to be looked at I think. It will be interesting to see if it is the problem. That would be worth knowing.
