I was on the Internet Movie Database earlier and I was reading people's comments on loads of teen flicks. I wanted to ask everyone what they think. I'm only 13 myself so to me, I love teen flicks even though they are cheesy and always have a happy ending. The other day, on Nickelodeon UK, I was watching "Holiday In The Sun" starring the Olsen Twins, I went on IMDB earlier and they were completely slagging it off. I don't think it was bad but I have to say, when I watched it - I was in a mood. After watching it, I was happy.

Look at all the teen flicks around. I mean, they aren't that bad are they. They might have predictable story lines, cheesy romances, exotic locations etc, etc... but tell me, are they really that bad?

I love loads of teen flicks, here are a few:

American Pie 1/2
Road Trip
Dude, Where's My Car?
Legally Blonde
Cruel Intentions 1/2
The Olsen Twins Movies (not listing them)

Now can someone agree with me and tell me that teen flicks are not totally crap after all. Oh yeah, almost forgot, does anyone like the Olsen Twins. I look up to them as my role models aswell as SMG but I think I'd be able to communicate with Mary-Kate and Ashley better cause I've got a 16 year old sister, not a 26 year old, that's if you get my meaning.🙂

Some of them are low-level but still quite enjoyable (Dude, AP), some other however are plain disgusting (Legally Blonde, Road Trip) ... it just depends, when your with friends, and when in a good mood (with or without alchohol) all these movies can be considered funny!

PS: Why have you listed Cruel Intesions here, that's not a teen flick!

It's a 15 rated film in the UK so it's classed as a teen flick. 18's aren't unless it something like Scary Movie.

Are those like your age rules? Because I don't think that they decide wether something is a teenflick, a teenflick is a category of movies, like romance, drama or horror!

Cruel Intentions is more of a teenflick than an adult one! Teenagers relate to it a lot more. I think it was aimed at older teens 15 upwards hence the rating. My mum watched it and she didnt like it at all whereas I love it.

I do think most teen films are quite brainless but they're fun! I don't mind watching them, they can be really funny and when I was a younger teen I used to watch all of them, my tastes have changed a bit now, although things like jackass i still think are wicked!

I agree, the second Cruel Intentions was naff and the cast was too!!!

CI2 wasn't lame, CI1 was just a lot better, I watched it in the wrong order and I liked CI2, but when I watched CI1 later, I realized CI2 wasn't even half as good!
