Since BB seems to have a few Teen Wolf fans, I figure I could start a thread about it.

I started watching Teen Wolf because of a friend (who I made fun of for watching Teen Wolf 😳) but I got really into it. I've recently convinced my mom to watch it too (she also used to make fun of me for liking it).

When I started watching Teen Wolf, I had already been spoiled, so I wasn't surprised by much (like Allison's death, Lydia been a banshee, etc). I did watch season 5 spoiler free as it was airing and Mason being the Beast surprised me.

I don't actually ship any couple intensely, but I used to like Allyson/Scott a lot. While re-watching the show with my mom this summer, I began to like Kira/Scott too (they look cute together) and Isaac/Allison more than Scott/Allison. I do get a bit (a lot) of shipper feels when Lydia and Stiles are together. I think they're my fave couple.

My favorite characters are Stiles, Scott, Lydia, Melissa, the Sheriff. Oh, and the Coach, I can't forget him! I feel very protective of Liam, like I do of Connor. I don't really like Derek, I hate Theo, I think the quality of the show has been decreasing steadily since S3.

Ugh, I'm really bad at starting discussions, I make everything seem like a pop quiz.

Is anyone excited for season 6? It's the last season, I've seen the trailers, but I don't really know what to expect. Kira isn't there, Theo is (sigh), do you think Stiles/Lydia are going to have a thing? Will Scott get a new girlfriend?

Oh my god, I just realized SPOILERS! BE AWARE OF SPOILERS!

So pleased you started this thread! Thank you 🙂 A while ago, in another thread, Teen Wolf was mentioned and several people said how great it was. I've never watched it, mainly because I didn't think I was the target audience, not being a teen.

But I trust the people who like it not to steer me wrong, so I thought I'd give it a try. I am currently on S1 Ep 5, so still very early in the show.

I have had some issues, such as lacrosse as the main sport? It just seems like a niche choice, but I guess the writers wanted something different from the usual sports portrayed on tv. Will this sport be featuring heavily throughout the show, because that might put me off?

Liking Derek getting his shirt off all the time. That is one good looking boy 🙂 My favourite character is Stiles, but he is a bit actory, though I'm hoping he'll bring it down a bit as the show goes on. Alison looks far too old to be in school, and much older than Scott.

So far the show doesn't seem to be going anywhere. The main story seems to be 'who is the alpha'? But I hope the world will expand once everyone discovers their secret powers (I'm guessing Scott isn't the only one in the gang with powers)

The last episode I saw Scott and Alison went for a walk in the countryside, without their phones, when all hell was breaking lose in town. It was a stupid set up and really unbelievable, when only the day before Scott was losing his mind about being a wolf, but hey he just fancied a romantic walk in the woods 🙂

It is a fun show, and I am sure it'll get better, I am only 5 eps in so I will stick with it

You are very welcome 😛.

Yes, but it's fun! The lacrosse games have the coach (who is really funny!) and it's where some events that are important to the plot take place, as well as some relevant character moments. Those games also bring a lot of characters to the same place. I'm sure once you get used to lacrosse and start seeing how relevant it is, you'll get past your issue. (I hope....). I'm actually surprised that you have a problem with it! I never thought much about it 😀.

Derek looks better with beard. He's just too perfect looking... can't get into it. Stiles gets a lot better, as an actor and a character. We've already talked about Allison 😉. The actress is a lot (little less than a decade) older than the actor who plays Scott. But I think the contrast won't be as noticeable in the next season when Scott gets a haircut and more muscles. Also, Allison's hair improves, making her look younger.

I agree. The first season is a bit rough. The second season as a more thought out plot. It's like Buffy S1 vs Buffy S2 lol. But this season will probably surprise you still.

So yes, definitively stick with it!! 😀

I think it's because it's so alien to me. Football, rugby, darts . . . ok, but lacrosse 🙂 The coach is really funny though.

Really looking forward to Derek with a beard. And happy to hear he doesn't get killed off. Stiles is great, probably the best thing in the show so far, but his acting is just a bit OTT at times.

I know there are 6 season of the show, but do they all happen in high school or do the characters get a chance to grow up and move forward into college or work? I find it really depressing when they keep the high school setting even though the actors look 30 and have been in high school for 10 years 🙂 For me one of the great things about Buffy was the characters ageing and moving forward

Season 6 starts this November and it's the last one. All seasons are set in high school, but the actors look the same age mostly. The high school isn't as important on Teen Wolf as it is on Buffy. Teen Wolf doesn't bother with reality as much.

My faves are Isaac, Stiles and Lydia. I need to re-watch the show though because it's starting to fade a little in my mind. I got really into the show when I started watching it and watched obsessiely for a while. I haven't watched season 5 because I haven't found it streaming anywhere available for me yet :/ So I can't say I'm looking forward to season 6 because I'm in the dark, sadly. Hopefully not forever 🙂

Isaac is great also!
Just finished S1 Ep 7, best episode yet. All the main characters are trapped in the high school by the alpha. Jackson is acting shady, Stiles has all the best ideas. Derek appears to be dead. Still bored by Alison, but liked that Lydia came up with the molotov cocktail idea, she's so much more interesting than weepy Alison. A few plot holes obviously, but still an exciting episode

Stiles has all the best ideas.

Yup. Always! Bad things happen when Scott is the one doing the planning lol.

I love Lydia, but I don't find Allison boring. You'll probably like her more in the next seasons, particularly S3. Lydia also keeps improving as a character and has some exciting development.

Just finished S1 Ep 7, best episode yet.

I think the upcoming episodes are all plot heavy and various degrees of exciting. I don't remember the episodes well enough, but the second to last episode might be my fave.

I am really slow on the uptake aren't I, no wonder the girls on this show are so dopey and useless, I'm up to ep 10 and I've finally realised this is a show about coming out and is incredibly homo erotic. All the naked boys in the bathrooms . . . lacrosse . . . useless girls . . . all the fights are sex scenes 😀

Finally finished the first season. Eps 1 - 6 were ok at best, but from ep 7 it really picked up. The writing got tighter and the action was more exciting, it became quite gripping and I flew through the last three episodes. It's a fun show, there's nothing too deep and meaningful yet, apart from the gay subtext. All the boys are cute, which helps. I especially love Stiles, who's acting got better as the season went on and he turned it down from 11 to 9 🙂

The only problem I have with it, and it is a major problem, is the women. One line leapt out at me 'She's your girlfrined, she's your responsibility' - seriously? Not happy with this sort of portrayal. Alison was pretty much a weepy fool all the way through, and she and Lydia had to be saved by the boys at the end. Kate was the only action women in the show, and she was evil!
