When I was younger I always wanted such a caring, real (as in mistake-making), metaphorical, tight group of friends like we saw in the Scooby Gang. They even had room for Cordelia! I really liked how they were a group of misfits...who kind of made their own in-crowd...not to mention saving the world.

So, does anyone out there have a scooby gang of their own?

I wanna hear about them. 🙂 I am cheesy and love friendship stories...

Nope... I'm a loner and a loser... 😉

But really, I think this might be the wrong place to post this thread... 🙂

There is no need to wink, we already knew about that!
I've got my own little gang...but we're not a whole lot like the Scoobies...the acronym from the first letter of our first names spells BAD...and we live up to it in spades...

My group of friends in high school, we were all kind of loners. School was fun though, when we were there..

Now, I've got about 2 really close friends, and that's all I need, because, people are untrustworthy.

when I was at school there was a big group this split groups , and smaller and smaller usually pairs. It was hard because sometime people can be bitcas . People fall out and then pretend to be happy just so the group doesn't divide but in many ways everyone is truely alone .

Me and Bluebird ,Spoons and Wee Nico go way back its nice to have those connections.

Oh I've got kind of a gang, but we are no where near being Scoobies in the sense of being hardcore vampire butt kickers, or in the sense of solving mysterious deaths and crimes. We mainly hang out, get drunk and be funny. We don't always get drunk, but we are most of the time funny. I like my friends, it's a nice and coherent gang, as long as you like loonies.

Well for my last three years school my Mom took me out of Brentwood High and sent me to Archers which is an all girls school so, despite what some might presume, there wasn't any bitchiness or segregation so I can't really say 'we were the outcasts' or 'we were the populars' because well everyone was an oddball group.

I was a cheerleader (we cheered mainly for the brother school's games...which is how I met my then boyfriend, teehee....actually the games were how any of us had any chance of meeting a guy haha) but I didn't hang around with any of the cheerleaders. Our group consisted of an Graphics geek, a Music geek, and the Lit and Drama geek (erm, me 😀). And I mean geek in the nicest way, ha, and I'm still really close to those two even now....but like on Buffy most of the guys that entered the group only entered through dating one of the core group haha. And the guys have come and gone, but the core...erm, three are still friends.

So yeah I had a scooby gang in the sense of closeness (though when each of us had a boyfriend at the same time the dynamic was definitely more Friends!) but as regards the fact they were the odd gang who didn't fit in anywhere, that wasn't really the case since you could fit wherever you chose to...which was nice. Plus being all-girls it meant we got Graduation dresses instead of the unflattering robes, haha.

I always used to be a bit of a loner in the first 4/5 years of secondary school (there are 6 of 'em) I had some friends but they were all in different groups so in every group I was a bit the odd one out. But somewhere halfway through the fifth grade I met my BFF (that is to say, I knew her before that but we started hanging out then) and at that time she happened to be sort of growing out of her own little group herself. So we sort of drifted around a bit and by the end of the year we had found a gang and settled there. We're still together (not physically, cos we're studying all over the country and all) but when we can, we hang out. We're a real little Scoobie gang. Apart from the huge lack of action on the Vampire butt kicking front ^^

I wish I had one... 🙁 I always wanted that, that's part of why I love the show so much. I had one REALLY fun summer with my group of friends but it was short lived, everyone moved and I stayed.

I guess i have one. the gang would be
me: the silly, honest, sentimental one
my boyfriend: The hardened, stubborn guy whose really a softy underneath
our friend john: the actor, the intelligent one, the very christian/conservative one lol
and our friend mike: really goofy, laughs at everything, always up for a drink or two, doesnt take life too seriously

we actually refer to ourselves as the ninja turtles. and yes, being that we are of the ages 22, 25, 28, and 29, thats pretty childish of us. but thats how we are!

Yeah I guess I have a little scooby gang. It's me and my three friends.
We all met each other about 3 or 4 years ago, through groups of boys that we were all hanging out with and bonded over the fact that we all seemed to be one of the boys and couldn't keep female friends for very long because they just gave us the shits with their bitchiness, they overindulgence with hair and clothes and makeup and their lack of feminism.

We all met separately, and I mean my 3 friends had all randomly met each other outside of me as well. So all of a sudden I was saying to my new friend "Hey, you should meet this girl that I met, you guys would get on great, her name's Erin" and my friend would reply with "I met her at the same show that I met you, just an hour later, 'I've been hanging out with her quite a bit"

I like to believe that some sort of fate bought us together, we all ended up living with each other for the past 3 years and we've always pulled each other through the toughest times, had the best of times together. We've never fought vampires, or monsters, and our dialog sure as hell isn't as witty but we are definitely our own little group.

cool! fate:)
Mh, when looking at my previous post, I kind of get the impression that I should add some bits to it, at least I had to think about it a lot the last two days.

So as far as I know, I used to be a menace and kind of young boy who would command and boss everybody around and be in charge of stuff, but that some how changed when entering primary school. I became the very opposit. Ever since I'm more the shy and restrained kind of character. I had my few friends and we were quite fun together, but for some odd and peculiar reason I tend to make friends with people who I personally get a long quite well, but when meeting each other don't seem to get a long as got. This always was frustrating so I also restrained from making too many friends. Just makes thing easier.

During secondary school I had my little circle of friends, but nothing particularly special. Especially as my best friend after primary school left city and moved to a completely different part of the country, so I just had to start all over again. I know that one of my class teachers at 9th grade told my mother, that she didn't have the impression, that I was terribly well integrated into class and that I was more of an outcast. In a way it's true, but in a way, I just found most of the guys in my class imbecils (with the brain capacity of a vampire on cactus juice) and the girls, well were girls. ^^ Then at some stage I got the internet and I always preferred the people there, as I could pick the people more easily I found interesting and there I noticed that I actually get along much better who are older than me and so on.

Well after finish class 10 and then entering the upper levels of high school education I must have started to lifen up and improved existing friendships and found at last a group of people who were in a way loony (as mentioned above), but at the same time not complete jerks. And from there I met more interesting people, such as my BFF (or as I call her big sister 😀 ) and yeah, we rock. It's a nice group, which is quite homogenous, but nothing like the Buffy Gang. We are just normal people. Quite sadly, as I live abroad and by now most of us are studying and we are generally starting to spread out over the continent my old friends are starting to become difficult to contact. However, I do think I have improved my social skills and am more able of making contacts with people in a way, though I do find it difficult. At least often it takes me long to convince myself, that a) I really want new acquaintances and b) that these people might be also actually interested in me.

Sooo. Anyway at university I haven't got really many friends. There are a couple of guys with whom I hang out every now and then, but in a way I find them first of all mildly annoying and b I'm sometimes worried that one of them has actually got more interest into being something more than friends, and I'm definetly into man and especially not him. ^^ I still kick myself for actually meeting him. He is nuisance and yeah in a way I find he puts a dark cloud on me which inhibits my capabilites of meeting new and more interesting people. And finally I do like my new housemates. They kick so much more butt, as they guys I had last year here. We are way more fun and I find them all interesting. They keep me entertained and I hope I keep them also entertained in a way ^^

yeah i do 🙂 its lovely there all a great bunch of girlie's!
we used to haev the "ladies who lunch crew" and then the "art crew" we've known each other since year 7 of secondry school (about 11/12yrs old) and we've pretty much all been friends since. Some of us have moved to different colleges like my "wife" lol 🙁 sob but i still she her all the time and we all have regular catch-up/gossip meetings! were we get drunk and giggle. I've goign traveling in the summer with some of them so it should be amazing!

We've been through everything together, one of our group got cancer which was pretty scary but she's fine now thatnkgod! but it helped us get really close.

We weren't in the "popular" "sporty" "emo" or "skater" groups at school so i guess w just become friends we were the "norms" lol but i think we were alittle mad!

here's a video that one of my friends made when we left school last year

ooh photos!
i got loads of friends..and we're like a group. scooby-ish. but i'm not so close with everybody.

Well, there's a group of us that hang out whenever we can (spread all over the country doesn't help). It started with two of my brothers, myself and two other girls (who happened to be sisters). We all went to Colonial Williamsburg in costume every year. Then another girl joined. We called ourselves the Usual Lot. Another guy joined when he came to Williamsburg with us last year.

However, our Usual Lot has kinda expanded past just Williamsburg, and extends to plenilune, Mr. Crayon and another guy friend. The last time we were all together was my wedding. We do crazy things in person, and online when we can't get in person:

-Most of us are all Orthodox, so we get on at 3 in the morning on Easter/Pascha when we're back from church to have a chat.
-My brother wears a pretty floral bonnet made by one of the girls in our group
-We dance and flirt with each other in 18th century stuff 😉
-We randomly talk in British accents almost constantly.
-We quote Monty Python, Doctor Who, Buffy, and Firefly in everyday conversation.
-plenilune and two of the other gals are "vampires." The third gal is a "poltergeist." I am the Slayer. 😉 The guys are whatever they choose to be to annoy and love us at the same time. 😉 Mr. Crayon, however, is a vampire as well. 😛
-We meet when we can in person to sit around and write, sometimes dressing up as our characters. We actually dress up whenever we come up with an excuse. 😉
-etc., etc., etc. 😉

I miss doing that here in LA. Especially the dressing up bit. Hrm...

Sweety.. you are so bizarre!
It'S not really a gang, but if you want to call it like that it is a very small. But I think the main thing about a friendship is the trust and stuff like that. My best friend and me (I think she knows me much better than I do) even don't have to say a word anymore- thoiugh we know what's on our mind. I absolutly believe in her. All our other friends are sometimes really jealous but I think such a strong friendship isn't really often. I mean, she really is a really big part of me, a real soulmate

Never really had any Scooby gang going... closest thing for me would have been our P&P roleplaying group, but we were definitely closer to The Trio than to the Scoobies (including rivalries, infighting and intrigue... but not including plans for world rulership).

I have a couple of really good friends from way back in high school. We are all very busy with our own lives now, but when we see each other its like no time has passed....we don't need to 'catch up' or anything. We haven't grown apart so much as just grown up. We all are blessed with really good memories though. We always have fun and likely always will. It's just after everyone gets married/graduates etc. distance kind of pulls us apart.

I have lots of social friends, through work, college, and past jobs, they aren't exactly scoobie like though, as in that been through a lot and always been there, best friend kind of thing.

My family is probably the closest I can get to real life scoobies as I see them all the time and we are very close. I don't have to many 'new' good friends, a little to private I guess, or maybe I'm just a lot of work to build a close friendship with. I dunno.

I have two very good friends in my brother-in-laws, we see each other a a lot and always have fun together. My sisters husband is older and much wiser than me and has taught me abunch of things as far as life lessons go..sorta like a Giles I guess. My sister in laws husband really cares about people and is a good listener. we both go to one another for advice. I can count all the money we have likely saved one another in psychiatric fees by shooting the breeze when we hunt morealles.

My older brother-in-laws son and daughter, (my nephew and neice) are really close to my age, they are like my litttle brother and sister. I definately call them close friends...in fact my wife introduced my neice to her now husband. (it stinks they are way over in Ireland- we miss them!) My nephew and I share a love for classic cars and music, movies, all sorts of things. Thereally cool thing is both my neice and nephew have children now close to my youngests age. We share parent stories and do stuff with the kids. Theys've grown from two little ankle biters I use to take on walks in the country into very caring parents.

I'm lucky that my family and I are on very good terms with one another. naturally my Dad & Mom and sister fill out the rooster as well as my in-laws, who are really nice and have stood by us through everything.

Top credit would be my wife though, by hook or crook my inlaws and family have me among them with out much say or by circumsatnce. Every day my wife chooses to have me with her. She is my best friend, I reaaly can't say more than that or nearly enough to do her justice.

Also are my kids, I should include them as well. They keep me young even if they worry me from time to time. just this Christmas I was playing Star Wars with my boy and my daughter is the only one I'll sing for and they say singing is good for you. They aren't exactly scoobies as much as scrappies but they are a big part of my life. They share their worries with me and weather they now it or not they help me deal with things and make me very happy.

No, not really. I mean I guess it would be nice, but that's thing. I don't really get a long with nice people. All my friends (which has boiled down to very few) are really well mean to everyone. Nobody is a huge fan of us because we are just mean to people. And to each other. I think everyone in my "group" has gotten in a fight or argument. I'm not TRYING to be mean, I just am. I like making fun of people...I don't do it to make me feel better I just do because it's fun!

Haha, I don't know. Maybe that's what I NEED. A real scooby gang to cure me. So nope, don't really have a scooby gang.
