Tell me about your own personal Scooby Gang...

Since I grew up in rural Mexico and have only one sibling (brother), I never developed too much of a gang whom I see on a regular basis. However, I've done a lot of traveling (an internetting) and have picked up quite a collection of friends worldwide, some of whom know one another, some of whom don't, most of whom I have met IRL. I affectionately refer to these folks as my "vast and nigh-infinite spy network." 😉

I am the 'Buffy' of my group in that I am the one that joins them all - in fact most of them only spend time with each other because of me.

I am the leader if you will...only of this group, ther are others they are associated with that I am not.

I have my own Xander in my friend Andrew (he's the one with the lickable nipples in my pictures - not that Buffy ever did that with Xander.) He is fun, geeky, intelligent and quiet but you know if you have an issue he'll be there before you put the phone down.

My Willow is a girl called Jess (I even think she might be kinda gay). She is definitely one tough cookie, fun, loveable and very loyal BUT her own person. Outside of my group she probably leads others.

My Tara is my friend Sarah, though she and Jess don't lez it up!
Sarah is the friend to all, the kind, beautiful and generous one. She is the person I would go to if I needed advice.

My Dawn is my friend ABB. Shes frustrating, never listens, younger than me and can be very annoying - but she is intensely loyal and won't let people attack her friends.

My Anya is Victoria. Stunning, intelligent but blunt as sin. Incidentally Her and Jess don't get on.

Huh, I never thought of my friends like that but yah, I have my own scoobs🙂

life is funny!! (or ot
I have three seperate groups of friends that I am incredibly close to but there is only one that I would call my Scooby Gang. They would be my college friends (The Group as we so imagitatively called ourselves!lol) but really see each other as family. There is me my friend Orna and the boys, Fitz and Steve. We all met three and a half years and have really never looked back. We are probably more Seinfeld/Friends then Scoobies but the place that we hold in each other's lives is definitely Scooby.

I think I'm the Buffy of the group with more than a little Joyce thrown in for good measure. I tend to take care of everyone and make sure they are ok but also takes charge when we need it.

Orna is definitely Willow (and also kinda gay lol). She is incredibly intelligent and academically gifted. She can be really socially awkward and unsure of herself but when it comes to writing (we study English) she is an amazon. No one can touch her, that's her mojo lol.

Steve and Fitz are like Xander combined. Steve is once again a really smart guy with a heart of gold. He really is a sweetheart and utterly hilarious. Fitz is quieter but when we all get stressed out and worked up he is always the one to diffuse the situation. He just knows when to step in. He is the worst liar on the planet too...he just gets this goofy grin on his face and then he turns red.

The foundation of our friendship is the merciless teasing or slagging (as we call it) that we do to each other. There is literally nothing we won't say to each other. It's very Cordy kinda barbs but there is no malice behind it. Alot of our jokes are based around Friends and Tommy Tiernan ( an Irish comedian) or anything else we hear and think is funny.

we depend on each other alot and really we understand one another better than anyone else. They really are invaluable to me. As we get older we are starting to talk about the future and theings we will do when we have families of our own. It's already been decided that we will be aunts and uncles to each others kids lol and Orna and I will be marrying our kids off to each others (So we can be friends-in-law lol). It's nice to have people you want in your future.

I have another friend Craig that is as close as the gang but he doesn't hang out with Orna, Fitz and Steve. He's Xander to my Willow. We have been through alot together but we always seem to find each other again, we always have each others backs.

The other group is the girls I work with...we are just plain insane. No other way to describe it. I have been with these ladies for five years and we have stuck together through thick and thin. I couldn't be without them.

This was a really great thread topic. Thanks for making me think about this.🙂

Once I had a group of friends... but then we got too "Friends" like and everybody started to fight... haha
First there were the couples... and them they mixed, and mixed, and people cheating, boys doing just TOO MUCH for one of the girls... high school ended and the group too haha

Nowadays some of us hang out together.. like, once a year or something haha
And some REALLY hate each other haha

You 'haha' alot
Hmm. As to identities within my network...

I think I would probably be the Giles of the group. 😛 I tend to be older, more bookish, and more levelheaded than the rest of the group. Although since I'm always joking and taking the piss out of everyone, maybe I'm more Spike. Wow, Giles/Spike. That's a truly frightening thought. Maybe I should get myself committed...

My wife (that's yellowcrayon) is definitely the Willow of my buddies. More a Season One Willow than anything else. Yikes, right? 😉

My little brother is definitely Dawn (I say, laughing at myself). Annoying, often irrational, but ultimately loyal, dependable, and courageous.

The Buffy of the group is an older gal who kicks ass and takes no names. YC will know to whom I refer. 😉

Anya would be "Buffy's" daughter, a redhead with all the attendant temperament issues.

Xander, hmm. I don't think I really have a Xander. There are a few friends with various traits of Xander, but nobody who really embodies all of Xander's goofy everymanitude.

I hate Tara. But I do know one -- sorta-kinda like Tara on crystal meth. 😛

I know a couple folks sorta like later-life Cordelia, but no early-on Cordys, thank heaven...

I can think of two friends of mine who are definitely Andrews. 😉

That's it for now, I think...

Re:

In High School I ran with 3 other people. They were in a sense like the scoobs, with the exception of myself. I was more like the Faith of the group. I always did things I wasn't supposed to and they helped me to make sure I wouldn't get caught. LOL...

Jennifer was definitely the Buffy of the group. She was very a very strong and determined gal. Even blond! She had her bitca-y moments, and liked to tell people what to do...But she had a lovable side as well.

Thad was the Xander of the group. He was kind of oafish (sp?) and lovable. He was always there when you needed him, and was extremely loyal. He was so in love with Jennifer. But he had the tendency to lust after every female on two legs...

Donnie (Jennifer's boyfriend) was strangely JUST like Angel. Tall, dark....and broody. LOL. He never spoke, just kinda sat back and watched. He was definitely a looker, but you wouldn't know it under the hair and black clothing. LMAO...the more I think about it...he was always found standing silently behind Jennifer....HA! Wow.

But we all went our separate ways after high school. Mostly because I walked in on Jennifer and my junior and senior year boyfriend...not fun....*cough* Scandalous tramp! *cough*
Anyways, I then met Ericka, and it's been her and I against the world since then. We're a two person scooby crew! 😉
