Tell Us A Random Fact About Yourself

I'm not willing to talk about this beyond what I share here (and I believe this is the first time I've ever shared this online), but I will share this only as a throwaway random fact: thanks to my grandmother arranging it, I was a Girl Scout Brownie and Junior. After the neighborhood girls shunned me, this was about the only real interaction I had with females my age, and it was a positive experience for me at first. My later BFF would join as part of her church group but she hated it. We essentially left it together and were besties for years.

Oh yeah, I will share my grandmother thought it was shady (I believe some would say dodgy) when we were taken to a ranch to earn horse riding badges and were expected to pay a lot just to be able to show up, more to actually ride a horse. My parents refused to pay it, and Granny paid the first part, but after more money was being charged (and an outrageous rate) she said no, and called the Scouts I was with and said even with the price of gas they could ride up to her place and ride horses for less than what they were paying (or making parents and grandparents pay). I don't know anything about it other than what my grandmother told me, but I was left out of things that cost a lot of money after that. My memory is fuzzy on all that, but in retrospect I agree that does sound shifty.
 
I figure I should add that I was shunned by neighborhood girls when I was 6-10 (I'd join GS when I think I was 7, left a few months before I turned 11, and then I was pulled into the crowd my best friend was already apart of at the school we went to).
 
Apparently I share the same birthday with Matt Bomer, Emily Deschanel, and The Key herself, Michelle Trachtenburg. 🙂

That is hilarious. 😀 That also reminds me of this one time as a child, right around the time that I first started watching Buffy as a routine, starting with season 6 onward. So when Bargaining Parts 1 and 2 aired, for the life of me I could not stop thinking about the show. Like it transfixed me in a way that television hasn't really done before in my life. So when I went to school the next day, I practically begged a couple of my close friends to reanact scenes from the show, even though they haven't watched it before. Although I don't think I could have kept it up for 10 years like you Blaze, that takes skill. During recess, I'd pretend like I just came back from the dead, and my two friends, a girl and a boy, brother and sister actually, would be the demons Buffy slayed during Part 2. I was completely in character the entire day. Freshly risen from the grave, lost and disoriented, without a single clue as to what I'm doing on this earthly plane. I even continued the shtick even after school. I remember getting on the elevator to my apartment complex, and my friend's father happened to be on the elevator with me. Being the method actor I was, I was ignoring every single word the poor fellow was saying. He was like, hello, how are you, are you okay? And I'm looking at him like he was a cartoon ball and chain. I think I even flinched and backed away from him when he tried to give me a handshake, I dimly recall. He probably said a few things to my friend after that little encounter. But screw it, I was dedicated man! Haha! 😕
 
When I was a kid I started reading comic books. I got hooked on X-Men comics (my Marvel love started young!) so much so, that when I used to play in the park and the wind picked up and the leaves blew around, I'd pretend I was Storm controlling the weather.

Now I know why the other kids thought I was weird! 😀
 
In 2014 I produced a song that was signed by an independent record label. Then lost my love for the music industry shortly after.
