Note: When I say school, this includes everything from primary to college.

Many of you have a bit of the prankster in your personality. Or, you may just be a quietly subversive type, who didn't pull pranks per se, yet occasionally did enjoy throwing a spanner in the works from afar. Either way, we'd like to know about your nefarious acts of comedic terrorism in school. (Extra points for acts of vengeance!) What did you do, and most importantly, where you ever caught?

I'll start:

In 8th grade, there was a girl I didn't like at all. She was the resident straight A-student and had greasy black hair, braces (head gear!) plus she was creepy af. Tall as me, but she kinda lurched around like Frankenstein's twin sister. I could've ignored all of that, but she snitched on me one day. I'd been 20 minutes late to school, and luckily the teacher arrived after me...however, my creepy schoolmate told the teacher I'd been late, so I was sent to the guidance office. Other students were like, "Ooooh, busted!" Grrr. Obviously, I wasn't very happy about this.

I waited a week, then one day around 4:30pm (after most people had gone home) I broke into her locker. Not much in there, just some books and stuff. Hmmm. So, I thought it would be fascinating to throw a lit match in there because, you know, fire pretty. I closed the locker and got the hell out of Dodge. The next day, I boldly went to school, acting like nothing was wrong. However, there was definitely something wrong. 😅 Since our lockers had these little slots at the bottom (which apparently allowed air in), the fire didn't immediately extinguish itself when I shut the door. In fact, it had kept burning long enough for a janitor to notice smoke filling the hall. The same janitor who had seen a certain student near that locker the previous afternoon. Uh oh. Anyway, I was suspended for three weeks. Didn't really care about that, it was like vacation time for me...but whoa, parents weren't happy.

Your turn. 🙈🙉🙊

Was the excuse that there were vampires in the locker?
I have a few of these stories - not ALL me but I was usually involved in some capacity.

We used to sneak out of the boarding house a LOT. It was well known that the kids before us had been growing weed on school property down near the harbour shore. The younger boys used to talk it up, like they were rough and tough and smoked all the time away from school. One day I dried out some paddock grass in my chemistry book, added a little bit of Lucerne horse feed, chopped it up and rolled it in toilet paper then told the year 9 boys that it was a joint. They smoked the whole thing and thought they were off their nut, laughing and carrying on under the stars. It was SO funny to all of us girls who knew the truth. Especially, cos the year 8 girls were the ones who had a can bong hidden under the drainpipe and the "oh so cool" boys did not have a clue.

I wasn't directly involved in this, but my senior year we had a major fued with the junior class. While we were working on our homecoming float, some of the juniors came to our float location and threw water balloons so a bunch of the members of our class decided we had to get revenge... They snuck over to their float location one night with some fresh horse poop they collected from one of the girls' in our class' barn. They wore gloves and stuffed the horse poop up underneath the door handles of their cars so when they went to get in, they got it all over their hands... They also used some of the poop to write "messages" on some of the car windows so that when they went to try to clean it off with the windshield wipers it would just smear. LMFAO I wasn't even there, and my house got toilet papered later that fall for that prank!!

We had a Japanese boarding supervisor living with the boys. I will never know if he completed his (short) time or if we drove him off. The toilets in both the girls and boys wings were near the laundry door, so we didn't have to go through the wing to get into the toilets, just through side door. The boys had been putting plastic wrap over the toilet (under the seat) so it couldn't be seen to prank the poor Japanese man when he peed. While they were getting a lecture on this from the boarding house master, me and another girl snuck in the boys loos and wrapped them all again. No one expected it so soon after being busted for it.

The woodwork teacher never had any cause for concern until he mentioned to the headmaster of not being warned of the new pupil in his class. That was when it hit the fan, that was when they realised I hadn't been present for any woodwork and/ or metalwork class (every Thursday afternoon) that year.

This one was more of a stunt. We had a school swimming carnival the next day. I did NOT want to swim. Which was a problem considering I was captain. Myself and another girl decided we would fall off our horses so we would be "too injured" to swim. Of course, we needed witnesses. So we dragged a bunch of boarders out to be witnesses to our falls so we couldn't be accused of lying and could get out of competing. We got on our horses bareback with just halters and hooned them around the paddocks trying to fall off. But it didn't really work. Even when her horse bucked and my horse spooked, we were so used to riding it out that falling off was quite difficult. We asked the other kids to run around to try and get our horses to crack the shits and dump us, but it just wasn't happening. Eventually one of the boys let a plastic bag go which blew on to the ground and my pony shot sideways. I stayed on but as my pony stopped dead I realised it was my chance to bail. I threw myself onto the ground with a scream to turn heads and landed in grass so long the other kids couldn't see me. The pony turned and looked at me like "What the heck? you stupid human". I got up with a limp and kept the limp for 3 days just for authenticity. I did not have to swim 😀

One night for Hallowe'en a friend and me passed the house of a guy we didn't like. He had his convertible in his driveway with the top down. I got the idea to check to see if the lawn hose could reach the car, which it did. So we stretched the lawn hose all the way to the car and jammed it inside the back of his car. Then we turned the water on to full blast. The worst thing was the car had all leather upholstery. I spent the night at my friend. My mom picked me up the next day and we drove by the same house and car on the way back. When we passed by, the owner of the house was outside trying to get all of the water out from the back of the car and he didn't look to be happy AT ALL. That's probably the worst thing I ever did, and I immediately regretted it the next day.

This one was from early highschool. The drama department was the most mocked class of the school. One day I helped make a platform out of the desks and chairs so one of the other students could put little paper cups full of flour on top of the ceiling fans. Keep in mind, I live in Australia and sweat is just a part of life, especially in summer in an un-airconditioned drama class room. The class got in and sat down before the teacher, who, as she walked in, turned the fans on full. Heheheheh. Lucky the sprinklers were on at lunch time so we could all kind of rinse off. That was a smelly, messy day.

In the 1st grade, I poured the contents of my water bottle into the class clown's bag while the rest of the class was outside (snuck back into class), I was caught and the school called my parents to come get me early but didn't get punished any further.

In the 4th grade, I threw a blood test thingy at my math teacher (who was a jerk) while she wasn't looking, turns out she had eyes in the back of her head as I got busted and the school called my parents to come get me, again...

Moral of the story: I shouldn't attempt pranks, my mischievous streak has mostly gone away since...
