I have a bone to pick with the dealings and the goings-on of the Watchers' Council. Thankfullly to say, my teacher is a renegade Watcher who works with another Watcher and Slayer in the United States, Buffy. I have been compiling gathered information on the rite of passage required of all Slayers once they reach the peak age of 18. While perusing the Tales of the Slayers, I was struck by how unfeeling, uncaring, cold, and detached the Council was, ferverently believing that the controlled environment that they set up is perfectly safe. I disagree, since if it were completely safe, we wouldn't have Watchers such as the likes of Ian Sykes making deals with a Watcher-turned Vampire Creighton Faust in order to get rid of the Slayer before the actual Cruciamentum and in return for Sykes giving Faust a Slayer to feast on, Faust will provide Sykes with a Cagliostro's Crystal which allows him to create an illusion that the crime had already been committed decades before anyone was born.
