Terminator SCC - Impatient!!!

HOLY SMOKES! WHAT A KICK BUTT SHOW! i loved it. it makes the bionic woman look like the stuff under my shoe at the dog park.

i cant say enough about how awesome the first episode is! i felt like i was in a movie theatre watching the latest blockbuster. i cant believe it was the first episode because first epi's are usually boring due to all of the character developement and what not.

anyway, summer glau is proving that she deserves more major roles in hollywood. her acting was great. i do, however, have to give props to the other actors. they all did great. i felt like there was alot of positive chemistry between everyone.

i cant wait for the next episode tomorrow night.

btw, with the writers strike going on, how many more episodes are there going to be?

Yup, the bionic woman is crap!
well, not much character development to be had besides for Summer's character, because most people tuning in are fans of the movies and thus, have the background.

that is true. i thought of that during the show, but never registered it as a thought. that happens to me all the time :)

haha I loved it too!! If fox cancels yet another great show I'd laugh, and never watch anything from them ever again. :whistle:

I would DIE if they cancelled the show! I'm talking heart stopping, 6 feet under DEAD!
I thought that the first half was really good. It seems to make more sense to me that at least SOME of the Terminators wouldn't look like the Governor of California and talk like Conan the Barbarian. Summer looks a lot better with her hair not so stringy (That's from Lady Avenger). If I miss the second half tonight, we won't have to wait for Skynet to wreak havoc, because I'll do it first.

In 7 minutes Terminator 3 comes on on FX, Coincidence? 😛 IDK but I'm going to have to watch it!

I missed the stupid premeire. My TV listings got set for NEXT Sunday somehow.
But, the 2nd one is going well. I think I may rename it, "See If You Can Count How Many Times Poor Little Summer Gets Mangled In Some Way." I count at LEAST 4 just tonight and there's 15 minutes left and I'm not even watching that closely!

Oh frig if Fox cancells this I am going to kick their arses. Both me and my spouse are in love with this show! It's our new favorite show right now, besides Bones...but I said 'new' favorite. I don't like too much that's on. I actually only watch 3 shows on tv right now. It will be 5 when two come back. But anyways, this show, if it keeps on going the way it does, will def make it.

I am sad about only seeing 9 episodes tho. The strike doesn't seem like it's going to end. And a break in the show may really mess things up.

I have to admit I like when Cam (summer) gets mangled up. The abuse is amazing because she can take it. I love to see her fight. Watching her fight is like being outside in the summer and smelling bbq when the breeze passes by, lol. Wow, really over dramatically stated but you get me!

It's up there, all three main characters are great actors and very believable. Summer of course is the best! of course

She has that Anya type thing going, not completely or entirely but she has that I don;t understand, thing, on a few subjects, and yet on others she knows everything. It's really cool.

This time travel thing.

In the movies he sends back these people to save his own life, so does that mean he will forever be trapped in a time loop? Because every time he gets to that point in time he sends someone back to save him over and over and then the younger self grows up and sends someone back, then the younger self sends someone back.. It would be a never ending loop, wouldn't it? Or would he be able to just stop, not send anyone back and then continue on and not be killed in the past..? If he doesn't send anyone back though then he dies, and he never had a chance to send someone back in the first place.. Plus if he never sends anyone back, then the terminator would never have been killed in the first movie and then Skynet would never have been achieved through the terminators remains?.. Could someone explain this to me, or am I right.
 
GG, you have just discovered what we in the Sci-Fi community (and those in the Physics community) refer to as a time paradox. You're absolutely right; they're now locked into a loop. They have screwed up the time stream, and things will never be the same again. And now, with them having jumped forward in time, John could run into himself! And theoretically, the universe would explode!
 
Weird. I would have hoped that after going forward, if he can fix whatever the problem is that time, he would not have to go back again. I have much to learn.
 
That's the thing about a time paradox. They're trying to stop something that has ALREADY HAPPENED. In the actual timestream, SkyNet became self-aware and destroyed the world in a nuclear holocaust in 1996 (or 98, I don't quite remember). Then in T2, they changed it, but it just changed when it happened, not THAT it happened. The point being, if SkyNet doesn't destroy the world, then there are no Terminators and nothing for John to fight, so he can't send Terminators back to protect himself and his mom, so SkyNet becomes self-aware and destroys the world. . . . It's very complicated, but I think Physics gurus would argue that they've started a new dimension with its own timestream rather than actually changing anything. In the old dimension, SkyNet has already destroyed the world. In the second one (the one created in T2), it has destroyed the world. In the third one (the one in SCC), they're still trying to keep it from happening.

Phew. I'm not even sure I quite understand all that.

But the series by telling the story of the series doesn't that contradict the movie.. well the third movie.. and uh, contradict alot of things aswell..
