Terminator SCC - Impatient!!!

As far as I know, they're ignoring the existence of the third movie.

Yea, that looks pretty clear by everything that's happening. Which is a good and bad thing. Bad because it's blowing away a movie that I liked and thought worked well to further the story of John Connor to actually finally coming to terms that he is the hero of the story! But I like the look and feel of this show more than the movies. Probably because Summer is in it and I know that they will be able to tell longer and more stories. That's why I like Television more! But still disregarding an entire movie, that if it wasn't made might have made it impossible for the series to even begin.. eh. But I do like it so I shouldn't complain!

So, if they're ignoring T3, does that mean you can also make something RETROGRADE NON-CANON?

To me, it seems like they're trying to integrate bits from T3.
Like the fact that Sarah has cancer, and Cameron (Summer) says Sarah was destined to be dead by 2005 if they hadn't jumped forward to '07
.

OK so I am still enjoying this show, very much. I am however very annoyed by the fighting scenes. They are very...blocky. Ok so that's not the word I want to use. Hmm, let's see..Ok, when Summer played River in Serenity and she fought her first real fight, she was amazing. We saw all of her kick arse moves. But on Terminator it's just not clear enough to see her moves. I don't know if they are just trying to make it choppy like that so we can't tell the hits aren't for real or what. All I know is that it's annoying as hell.

i hear ya TR. i wish the fight scenes were alittle better. i cant help but wonder if the 'budget' played a big part in it. since its the first season, they probably werent given alot of money to play with.

also, i wonder if the 'shortened/blocky' fight scenes are due to the writers having too much story to tell. what i mean is, they may have wanted to set up the story quickly in order to keep viewers watching instead of jampacking each show with fight scenes.

either way, the fight scenes are comparable to buffy season 1.

on the other hand, im very sad that the season ended tonight 🙁 im very happy with the show thus far and i cant wait for another season!

congrats to summer and the whole scc crew!

I think the fight scenes, at least the ones that I have seen, are pretty good and consistent with what was done in the Terminator movies. There were never any fancy moves there, just two very powerful machine/beings slamming each other around. I'm not sure Arnie threw a single punch in the whole three movies.

I hate that the season finale ended in a ##@**^^%$!!! cliff hanger. I absolutely HATE those things, especially if the series ends like that. To me, that is the writer just being too lazy to pull everything together at the season's end. There should be a law against cliff hangers.

I like the smashing each other around stuff. I find there isn't enough of it. It's kind of been slow in that department.
