I thought maybe we could have a thread to talk about SCC and how we are all enjoying it.

I thought the first episode would be filled with info and backstory, boring. But it wasn't. I enjoyed every moment of it. And still, even with this weeks episode I was very, very pleased with how great it was. I hope it stays this way.

Does anyone else think that Sarah is way too mean to Cameron? I think she is. She needs to take it down a notch. Cameron is protecting them.

Now, what do we all think is Camerons issue? With this last episode, and the bolt etc.

We can't have her go bad, she's way too good on the show. I like all the Cam time I get, if she goes bad, they will prob eventually kill her off. I don't like that.
So what is up with her and that bolt. Sentimental value maybe?
 
Bolt? If you're thinking of what I'm thinking of, that was the CPU! Which makes it so much worse than you thought. . . .
 
Seriously? I thought it was a bolt she slid into her pocket. The one from the metal dude she just burned up.
 
It looked like the memory thing that holds everything they know/feel/memories Maybe she knew the guy?
 
Yeah, it was the memory chip. As to just what she has planned to do with it, we can only speculate. Maybe she could somehow download it and get vital information as to what the details of Skynet's plans are or where the extra Terminators are located. Then again, she may be planning on reprogramming the chip and making herself a partner to aid in protecting Sarah and John. Or maybe something else altogether...

I don't want to assume she is going to do something bad because, she's supposed to be on the side of good. Anything's possible.
 
This is definitely one of my new favorite new shows, it's really cool. And don't forget that it had a forum and episode discussions over at After-Darkness.
 
this is definitely my favorite new show. im glad hollywood has finally come out something decent.

my analysis thus far is that every show has kept my eyes glued to the tv. that is a good thing, but after each episode i have a headache..........and glue on my eyes.

the last episode really makes me wonder about cam. it wasnt that she took the memory chip, it was the conniving look on her face as she slid it into her pocket. she knows she is doing something that is not good or she would have told sarah about it when she walked in.

i think there will only be 9 episodes due to the writers strike which means we are already half way through the season 🙁

i guess its back to my crutch.......smallville and buffy on dvd.

Haha me too! I absolutly loved the show and I havent even seen the Terminator movies! (well I think I saw the first one but it would have been years ago) I only watched it because of Summer Glau and got hooked!
I will definatly be buying this on DVD when it comes out.
Maybe a trip to the video store is in order to watch the original movies. Heh

T1 was decent. T2 kicked butt. T3 sucked.
You should give them a shot, Aussie. T2's one of the best sci-fi action movies ever. And yeah, the first one's a cult classic.

How many chips or thingamabobs has Cameron lifted from the Terms now? 3 or 4? N4H was speculating that maybe she was gonna build a child or a pet for herself.

I'm wondering if she has a mission from future John Connor that she can't divulge to anyone. Or if she's not "evil", but that she's doing something to protect or improve herself. If they're successful in preventing Skynet from launching in the here and now, she'd be under orders to destroy herself and any evidence that she ever existed.

I hope this show can maintain an audience and FOX keeps it around for awhile. Even if they have to slash the budget or whatever, it would be worth it.
 
To keep this show around they'd HAVE to slash the budget, it's not getting enough viewers to justify the money they've spent so far, so I'd say season two at this point is iffy, I hope they'll renew it though and try to relaunch it.

do you have a website or data to back that up? im just curious because i was thinking during the last episode that this show is very close to being "movie-quality." there is a ton of special effects and makeup and such that cannot be cheap.

anyway, let me know whatcha got RG.
 
They showed the first episode in the UK on Thursday. I loved it!! Cameron is such a great character. She was great at the school, the scene in the classroom when she took those bullets for John was great. I liked the use of the line ''Come with me if you want to live'' from the movie, it fit very well. Its really good how they have actors in this series that look remarkably like the actors in the film, especially in the case of the actor who plays John.

The only thing that bugged me a little bit was the ending of the first episode when they jump forward 8 years and it shows you Sarah's boyfriend and the police detective, they hadn't seemed to age at all!!
 
In the last episode, the final scene was so beautiful watching Summer practice ballet. It gives her character a little more depth and freaks you out if you think about what Sarah was saying over it. I loved it. She's so great to watch, very moving.
 
I loved the last episode. And next week it's OVER! Season Finale!! Before anything else (like House and C.S.I.) come back! Noooooo!
 
I have not read to many of the posts here mainly because the show only just started here but the pilot was awesome, if there all as action packed as that I wont care about the corny dialogue.
 
Still waiting for the really cheesy bits, they're bound to bring in the link to Jesus Christ at some point. His initials are the same John Connor, [ J.C. ] He's the one who leads the rebellion, the saviour of the human's. Pretty much the same as Jesus ?

Boy was tonights finale a boring piece of work. I didn't find it interesting at all. The ending was good tho. I hope all of you who watched liked it better than I did.
