Maybe everybody else knew this already and I'm just slow, but...If you have a subscription to "Buffy," "Angel," or anything else, their default shipping delay time is 4 weeks, but you can open "Pre-Order Instructions" and change that to 1 week, and you'll get your issues that much sooner. (I don't know how much sooner that will make the foreign subscriptions, but it should speed up the process some)

TFAW (Things From Another World) website. Sells comics, TPB's, graphic novels, DVD's, figures, just about anything related to comic book/fantasy, and they sell subscriptions and pre-orders for comic books. (And that's not a stupid question, I should've been more specific when I posted it. Sorry)

I got an e-mail yesterday (5/7/08) saying that my comics have already been shipped. 2 to 5 days delivery time.
i haven't done a subscription on TFAW because ive heard of the long wait but i didnt know you could change the wait with that little trick. still though, i prefer supporting my little local comic book store, unless they are sold out, then i order through TFAW.

Speaking of, i don't have ANY of the angel:after the fall and when i was looking on TFAW only saw all these expensive versions of them...(or at least most of them)...was i missing something? I wanted to get them to save to read after i finish Angel (when airing i only watched up through maybe a couple eps of season 4 but im going through the boxset now). But yeah i seem to have a hard time finding them all at reg price.

Try Amazon.com. You can usually buy back issues at discount prices, and if you buy all of them at one time from the same dealer you can save on shipping. And don't worry about the "used" thing. All of the ones that I've bought that way were actually new. Sometimes you can even get your choice of covers.

LMLTF: If you're as far behind on A:AtF as I am (I only have the first issue), you may want to do what I've done: pre-order the TPB from Amazon. It ships at the end of June. My only worry is that they're going to start a new arc and I'm not going to know about it because I don't know when A:AtF ends cause I'm not keeping up with it. (Side note: No Future For You comes out at the exact same time, so I have that pre-ordered, as well.)

thanks for the tips from both of you. I might go with the TPB. i havent read a single one since, like i said, i never finished the series and was going to buy them and wait til i finish the series to begin reading.

Just an update on the subscription: I received "Buffy Season 8" #14 and "Angel ATF" #7 today (5/10/09) so changing the shipping lag time DOES seem to make an appreciable difference.
