I have been a member at the boards since October 2003. I've only had about 300 posts(to some is a little to others a lot), but I have to say that being here has been absolutely amazing. Everyone is so nice, respectful, and really cares about what you have to say. Of course I had started a "newbie" thread when I first came here, and the welcome was great. Usually when you join a board, a few nice people will say hi, but here I felt like everybody really cared and popped in to say their own cute welcoming saying. When I realized that the thread had reached the size of 2 pages I was shocked. It's just such a nice feeling to know that you're excepted here.
Everyday there are tons of new threads about the cast and whats going on with the show. I think its great that people come here to let everyone else know the latest gossip. You feel really good when you start a thread and get a big response. Everyone has a different opinion and it's nice to see from different points of view. Of course the occasional, Spuffy/Bangel fight will erupt(and of course you all know where I stand on that matter...spuffy all the way), but sometimes it's good to let off a little steam!lol
The moderators do a great job. There is a theme for everyone here. The avis are always updated. It's really great to see the devotion and effort they put into this everyday. So I just really wanted to say thanks to everyone for making me and others feel right at home. I just have a two questions that I have thought of since I got here:
1. Who started the boards?
2.How long have the boards been around? I haven't seen anything about the board's history, so if someone could give me some info that would be great! I hope the answers give others more understanding about the board itself and the moderators. Thanks again for all the time everyone puts into making the boards such a great place.🙂

Thanks, we really appreciate your comments, but as I always say without all the great members the place would be nothing. 😉

To answer both your questions:-

1. Who started the boards?/How long have they been around?

The boards, as in www.buffy-boards.com have been going since early 2000 I think it was, they have changed hands along the way but the 4 admin here, Buffy Summers, Faith, myself and Angel were all part of the original staff from when they were initially set up, and quite a few of the members have stayed with us along the way too - of course we have gained lots of new members too over the past few years. The very first person to start the boards in 2000 was 'Matt', he owned Charmed-Boards at the time and was interested in starting up a board for Buffy & Angel and hence Buffy-Boards.com was born. 😉 Buffy Summers owns them now and has done for about the last 2 years or so.
