Are any of you fans of the show? If so what do you guys think of season 8? I'm doing a re watch and ugh! 🙁 I hate it!

Haha, funnily enough I'm doing a rewatch too at the moment, and I'm also in season 8. Yeah,, it's really not the best season. To be honest, I don't really miss Eric that much, but Kelso gone really left a huge hole.


Nevertheless, I love the show. It's just pretty original, and funny.

Yeah, season 8 was pretty crappy. It had its moments but it just wasn't the same. Like @Tueuse de Vampires said, I didn't miss Eric all that much, but I did miss Kelso. And who's stupid idea was it to put Jackie with Fez?!. Jackie belonged with Hyde 😉

I really enjoy the show, but to be honest I've never really watched it the whole way through. I tend to just watch the random episode here and there; as one is just about always on TV. I have season 1-5 on DVD and I watch those pretty frequently.

I'm not surprised to hear that people aren't crazy about s8. Not many shows can survive that long, plus changing actors and losing characters all while still holding onto their same charm and quality is difficult.

I never watched S8. The last episode I watched was when Eric left. I'm probably the only Eric fan here. I really love the Eric/Red relationship, and it always hurts, in a good way, when Red shows affection toward Eric.

I'm an Eric fan too. I do miss seeing him in season 8. Ofcourse Kelso was the one who would just bring on the laughs automaticaly for me. Ugh its such a shame though. I feel like if the writers could of done things differently. Seriously Jackie and Fez? He was such a perv! I get that it was "funny" when they were still in highschool but come on it got old and just plain disturbing after a while. Randy was just a mess of a character. Ugh sorry about my little rant. haha :embarrassed:

I use to watch That 70's show. But at some point, I stopped watching. I don't remember which season. But I always enjoyed it.

I think it's the curse of having so many seasons. The last season always loses the spark because being the last, everybody seems to want it to end and feel less into it. I wish That 70s' Show ended at S7, and personally I think the show lost its spark since S6. It was funnier and more fresh in the first seasons. But that's the deal with all the shows.

I love That 70's Show! It's fantastic. One of my favourite sit-coms. No matter how many times I watch an episode, it always gets a laugh from me. The exception to that, of course, is season 8. All the characters became caricatures of themselves; Randy was absolutely TERRIBLE; Fez and Jackie?! Come on, man. Just...no. No. NO. Aside from the fact that even the actors thought Jackie and Hyde belonged together, it was totally out of nowhere. Just awful. Even Leo being a regular couldn't save that season.

Did you guys know that originally the guy who played Randy was actually supposed to play Eric in the 8th season? It was supposed to be that he came back from Africa a 'changed man,' and that's why he looked different. When no one took to the idea, they scrapped it.

I'm sad it was such a lousy season, given that it was its last. Would've been nice to see them go out with a bang. They should have ended it in season 7, when Ashton and Topher made it clear they wanted to move on.

I dare to say if they had gone with the original idea it would have been even more of a mess of a season! It just makes me damn annoyed!

It amuses me that the character that matured the most by the end of the series is Jackie.

I love "That 70's show" I'm doing a re-watch of season 5 right now, I'll probably stop after season 6 though. I'm not a big fan of Randy and I'm definitely not a fan of Jackie and Fez, it just gets weird...

I think seasons 1-6 are solid though.

If I had to chose a favorite character it's Red. Man, I love Red, he's hilarious. Kitty comes at a close second though (as does Kitty's mom.. Betty White :heart🙂 Both those characters are just steadily well-written and funny.

This is completely unrelated, but one thing of the show I really liked is that Jackie was more or less her own age. Usually with a lot of shows, the actors are so much older than the characters they're playing, and in the beginning it might not be that noticable, but after a show just goes on and on and on you really see it. I think Mila Kunis just turned 15 when the show began and was 22 by the time it ended, which always made her look the appropriate age. It's even cooler because technically, you weren't even allowed to audition if you were under 18.
