Have you ever imagined another person was there?

I did one evening some forty odd years ago. I was in a procession of some 30 odd motorbikes, there was a collision of two bikes at the lead which caused mayhem, bikes and riders were spread all over the three lanes of the road, I was on a bike at the rear and I was convinced there was a passenger on the bike in front of me and spent a while looking for that passenger, I was soon told by the rider that he was alone.
What, or who did I see?

Has that type of experience ever happened to you?

Wow, spooky! I don't really believe in ghosts, but I've had similar experiences in which I thought I saw someone, then they "disappeared" when I looked again.

Ah yes Stake fodder, but did they disappear? Try looking from the extreme corner of your eye as he/she might be following you!

It's happened more than once! But if they were ghosts, they must be on some loop unrelated to me!

Hmm, but the one I can remember just jogged ahead of me around a bend on a road with no outlets above a ravine, and when I came around the bend, he was gone. Not sinister, just odd. Tho I guess it could be a shadow of a spirit condemned to a hell of endless exercise!😱
