Cool list. I love reading lists like that, just to see other people's opinions. Entertainment Weekly ranked Buffy as the third greatest fictional character of all time, third only by Harry Potter (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st). I thought that was cool. I cut out her picture in that magazine and put it on my dorm locker. 🙂

You missed Buffy at number 3. 🙂

No offence to the voters but looking at the top 10 they have pretty much picked only iconic characters, rather than such with real depth. So no wonder Mal is so far ahead of Wes.

Looking back over the list a second time, I missed #6 thru 1 entirely, plus I failed to notice 2 non-Whedon all time favorites of mine, Edgar Rice Burroughs' 2 biggest and baddest heroes in this world or Mars, Tarzan at #66 and John Carter at #71 (not important to the Boards, maybe, but BIG TIME important to me)

I really really enjoyed that list.

I actually laughed out loud when I saw Guybrush Threepwood. I love that guy!

And obviously was happy to see The Doctor so high up on the list too. 😀

Kind of lame that Jayne and River rank higher than Wesley. Wesley had years of character evolution whereas any character on Firefly barely had any.
