I hated Clara with Smith, but the improvement was there in season 8

I agree, I hated Clara in season 7. Oswin and popping up in different times. I also didn't like the war doctor. I hate season 7 the most actually. But the first episode with Clara and 12, I loved their interactions! I agree that the show did spend too much time on Clara's personal life. I didn't care for her and Danny Pink. But I was sad when she died. But I also thought she was an idiot and pretty much killed herself. Idk about the new companion but I do life Capaldi so I'm sad that this will probably be his last season as the doctor.

Am I the only person that wants to get back to the Gallifry story? They must pop out of the time Crack to give him more regenerations and then disappear? Wtf?

They are going to drag out the Gallifrey story until the end of time literally. So, season 28 we will finally see him on his planet again...😛
