What to say about this man, he was a member that would always be around, would make you think and had a rich history. So very proud of his martial arts and the school is family run, the competitions his grandson would take part in, but also a proud Spuffy fan who when he couldn't ship Spuffy found a way to ship them anyway with Jandy! He is very much missed by a great number of people and a very deserving winner of the Doyle Award, so let's all raise a glass to White Avenger! Cheers!

Every year, the staff here at BuffyBoards selects one member who we believe goes above and beyond. One member in particular who we think truly embodies and exemplifies what it means to be a member of this site and this community. I would like to say a joke, but for this award I don't really think that applies. It is an honor to have someone like this as a member, and I don't really feel like I want to make light of that. 🙂 As Elton John sings, "I'd believe in anything, were it not for you showing me by just existing, only this is true." Thank you to everyone who makes this a wonderful home away from home, and thank you in particular to this member for showing us what we should all aspire to be.

I'm talking about the Goldenboy Award, named after one of our esteemed - and very much missed - members whose love of the board and the Whedonverse exemplifies what it means to be a BB member.

You might want to look under your seats, she’s been going for the ankles recently. Don’t worry, we have a team searching the air vents. Just know if you do come across her, just back away slowly. She’s way more afraid of you than you are of her, making her 37.83% more likely to attack. If anybody here has any gifts of haddock, that’s probably the best way to start the encounter.

And now we are at that point in the ceremony where I would like to share with you a very special award. The Athena Award celebrates the Moderator of the Year. Being a member of staff here at BB takes a special kind of person, who is asked to put in a lot of work, without much reward. I would like to take this opportunity to thank nightshade, Taake, Plasma, and spikenbuffy, as well as brinkster130, Athena, Faith and Mr. Pointy - and all the other moderators over these 20 years - for all of their help dedication. This place is here because of you. Thank you. 🙂

And it is my distinct honor to present this award, chosen by their fellow staff members, to...

Plasma is a newer moderator here at BB, but they have shown such a willingness to help and learn, and has brought such wonderful enthusiasm to the team. We are lucky to have them with us. Congratulations.

Wow..um...wow that is a huge honor. I...sorry it's taking me a minute to think about what I want to say

When I first found these boards, it was not as a user, but as a complete lurker. I like to ask questions about whatever I'm watching or reading, so I would ask questions about the show and naturally BuffyBoards came up first. Eventually, I became a user after maybe a month of lurking, and from there I met many of you in this community. When I found you all, I didn't realize how much I had needed a safe external community where I could simply be myself. You helped me to realize that. Thank you to each and every single one of you for being yourselves and for providing a place where people can be people without hate or prejudice or malice. The staff and members, both old and new, have all made this possible and have fostered a wonderful community that I could never imagine being without.

Truly, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You are all my anchor, my home, and my safe space, and I could never truly thank any one of you, let alone all of you, for being such. I hope I continue to live up to your expectations and do the best I can possibly do to keep this place what it was when I found it. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I helped to the podium by two of my bodyguards since i swaying a bit already totally drunk . The third one takes the stopper
off a bottle & waves the bottle undere my nose waking me up totally due to the fumes coming off of it . The other two brush
me off masking mre blush as they go all over . I walk up to the mike " Thanks you one & all for coming to the 2022 Buffies .
I dont know how this happened but half is better then nothing .
. "Buffies 2022 Rock ! " i yell before turning around & walking away
handing off the award to one of my body guards & the other two grabs my arms as i trying to walk away in a straight line .
