The roles in the world of the same sex 'lovin' are totally reversed.
The men wear the lipstick and watch their 'figures' while the women wear dungarees and shave.

Its a stereotype that ALL people of the gay community must uphold or the membership is taken off of you.
 
I ended up going out the night before the 80's night and was so hung over the next day, that I didn't do anything costumewise. Decided I wasn't going to drink too, but then someone said the word shots, and I slipped and caused a landslide. But everyone looked really funny!

So anyone any fun 80's memories?

LA Gear, Jean Jackets, and BIG hair. Oh yeah....High tops were a big thing...and rolled jeans....layers....Not that I wore any of these things of coarse....*blushes*

Cos i was poking fun at the boy bands that did wear it! Just as you'd poke fun at the leg warmer wearers.....the mullet hair styles etc.....
