::Orion gives Kathryn a strange look, and then turns back towards Cassie::

Cassie: "She must have seen that your harness was worn."

:😛icks up the harness and studies some frays::
Cassie: "Will you come with me to report this? I think it's best to bring this up, you know, so that all of you gal's have proper gear."
(I really hope she agrees)

::Takes off his helmet, and sets it on the floor::
 
Val

::Val interestedly watched the drama unfolding in front of the climbing wall. When she saw the new girl (Kathryn) walk away, she jogged over to her.::
To Kathryn: Hi! I'm Val! You're new here, right?
 
:: still in shock from what Orion said earlier ::

Orion:" Yeah, sure I will... Umm, thanks for stopping me from climbing, and urr sorry if I was a bit mean earlier, it's just I didn't exactly like that you guys were talking about me"

:: Walks out of the room and towards the office ::

Orion " so umm, how did you get your...powers?"
 
Cassie: "I'm sorry too, we should not have been talking about you."
::Orion takes a deep breath::
Cassie: "I was born with them, I remember being little and talking to my father about the things he was thinking about. When I was fourteen my parents had to institutionalize me. I was walking past a group of very young school children, they were boarding a school bus...I got a flash of the bus driver having a stroke...and the children careening off the road into the forest. I knew they wouldn't believe me but I had to try. Nobody listened to me. It was on the news...12 children died. It was really hard on me. I'm fine now, especially being around people that take my gifts seriously. I feel like I can finally do something worthwhile, do you know what I mean?"
 
:: Cassie listens to what Orion says, shocked by the story ::

Orion:"Wow, yeah I know what you mean. Bad things happen to everyone, but at least here people can control there powers and we have help from the teachers and the fact that we know everyone here is different... I think we can all do something worthwhile, even if our past is..."

:: Stutters for a while remembering the night of her best friends death ::

"questionable"

::Quickly changes her mood to a happy one ::

"Anyway, I am glad that we met, I think your powers are cool, it takes me like half my energy to read like one persons mind for like a minute. And I am nowhere near skilled enough to look into the future. Oh, we are here..."

:: Hands the harness to the lady behind the counter, and explains the situation. Then turns back around and smiles at Orion ::

"All Sorted"
 
(OOC, I'm sorry, but the whole thing with posting the name of a character who isn't the one that's actually speaking is VERY confusing for me. 😛)

Lol yeah, other people have said that too. That's how it says to do it in the sticky though.
::Orion sees the scene from before, two girls sitting down holding hands, then it's gone::
Cassie: "I didn't even know you could learn to read minds, or see the future. So you must be really good."
:: He holds the door open for Cassie so that she can walk out first::
Cassie: "I'm really bad at magicks, I need to learn more to be a better watcher. Would it be really sucky of me if to ask you to tutor me?"
 
Orion: "Well, unless you are like really powerful you cant read minds for long... I only ever tried once and ended up having a 3 day headache"

:: Laughs ::

Orion: "Sure, I can tutor you! Im not like an expert but I have some experience I guess. Too be honest, its getting late so I am gonna head back to my dorm. Will see you tomorrow in lesson!"

:: Smiles then starts to walk away ::

::Smiles back, and nods his head::
Cassie: "Sure, that'll be great. I'm gonna head down to the canteen, all that falling made me hungry."
::Waves and heads toward the cafeteria::

To Kathryn: I'm from Wisconsin. I kinda didn't get along so great with my dad, and there was that accident with that witch, so I wound up here. Where're you from?
 
::Val is oblivios to Kathryn's "What-is-wrong-with-you-people" look.::
To Kathryn: Nice. It's really pretty on the East Coast. What's your story?
 
Val: "Ahhh well, I was in Boston. I was called. I fought demons and would come home bloody so my parents sent me here because they did not know what to do with me."
 
:: Val looks uncertain about how to respond.::
To Kathryn: Oh... I'm sorry. I'm not a Slayer, myself, and my family was pretty whacked to begin with, so I don't know what that'd be like. But I bet that it was bad.:
::Val gives her a sympathetic look.::

::Orion enters the canteen, and gets into line at the food line::
(ugh meatloaf...um hmmm...OoOoO SALAD BARRRRRR!!!!)
::Struts over to the salad bar, and begins loading a plate::
(Thank God I got here before they closed down for the night)
::Shovels his spinach and strawberry salad down as fast as he can::

Val: "Hey, I m going to get back to climbing okay? I will see you around."
::Kathryn smiles warmly at Val.::
