The Alpert Tomb

In "Revelations", Giles says that Sunnydale has 12 cemeteries. Which, given the death rate of Sunnydale, is not obscene. LOL
So if there are so many cemeteries, supposedly, why do we see the exact same tomb in so many of the cemetery scenes? Don't you think the set dressers should have tried a little harder to disguise the fact that they were using the same set?? Maybe make removable nametags for the tomb, or change the doors up or something... Instead, everytime we see them standing in the cemetery, they're right by the Alpert tomb. 😛

And how did Alpert get a tomb in the first place? Judging by the fact that he never seems to age, I'd have guessed the guy couldn't die!

A strange thread. The short answer: TV shows have budgets...sometime small budgets. Notice that you dont see 'Alpert' as often in later seasons.

With a name like Alpert (which he didn't like), he preferred to be known as The Immortal.

I know they got the name from one of the producers, Marc D. Alpert. He seems to get a lot of screen time though. 😛 I can't remember any of the names on the other tombs or graves.

I always loved how the writers took names of crew members for the characters... I just noticed today that there was someone in the credits with the last name Wolfram. 😉

I wonder? did Spike cause Sunnydale to become a big hole because of the First, or was he fed up with all the Alpert tombs.
