Reasons to like Spike?

Well, I think everyone has already pointed out all of the main reasons..

My reason for liking Spike?

He's English !!!!

Oh, and all of the already stated points too of course!

WOW! SHARP BANNER!
He's cool, and British. Plus he has the single greatest hair colour ever!

''Shagging, bliny, knickers, bollocks..... oh god, im english''
Williams a bloody genius,

You know, aside from my whole "he should have remained dead" thing (and even that is complicated by the fact that I love the Angel/Spike interaction in AtS season5), I think Spike became a favorite of mine. A pet character. Hehe. I wanna make Spike my pet.

Anywho... before my brain went off on a funny Illyria quoting tangent, I was attempting to say that Spike's character development was one of the most compelling aspects of the show for me. My mind, when it is not otherwise engaged in leering at Giles, is most often drawn toward Spike. He's exactly the kind of character that I love: he's complex, hopelessly flawed, funny, and brimming with contradiction. My favorite aspect of Spike's character, the part that I have often confessed to inspiring in me a certain degree of writer lust/jealousy, is how he can vacillate between extremes without seeming out of character. The episode that made me fall in love with him was Intervention; any character who can, in the same episode and without breaking character, defile and degrade Buffy with the Buffybot and yet also suffer torture at the hands of a God for the same woman that he dehumanized is just plain amazing. He's always been like that. Even in School Hard, his tender love for Dru was juxtaposed with the image of him as a deadly predator. Watching Spike struggle with this inner duality and grow into the champion he became in Chosen was beautiful. I loved the ups, the downs, and everything in-between. Spike's growth was, in keeping with his character, epic in scale and poetic in tone and execution. He is quite possibly the most meticulously and consistently well written character on the show.

I take it back. It's not lust; I'm in writer love. I *wish* I could write a character as complex and beautiful as Spike!

Before I like Angel but i switched to Spike. Bout for Angel, this guy stinks for me. I dont hate Angel but the way he acts stupid (sometimes, and a pity acts sometimes) i dont really like it. so i switched
Well the way he acts and do the british accent was so cool.
Spike is hot for me even though he has a bad image before.
He has no soul back then but he is still good inside.
Just kinda confused about having his soul back. It doesnt changed anything for him.

ok not to quote buffy but like DUH!

lets see where to begain......oh I know those eyes of his like the sea after a storm, cheek bones that can cut glass, the way he tilts his head, the way he wears clothes that leave nothing up to the a imagnation, the way his voice can make you melt, the way he smiles and your knees turn to jelly, that acent of his....then he look darn good in leather and theres the whole bad boy thing. not to metion you know hes a fighter i betting he always fights for what he wants and has never not gone after something he wanted.

so the question that you should ask is, why dont you like spike? or maybe you should ask why is there any reason not to like spike?

Spike is more than just an interesting charecter.
Complex, interesting, strong, perceptive, loyal, loving and strangely vulnerable.
The ideal man in fact

OMG he's like sex on legs!!! He's just .....*drools*
palabravampiress agrees: Isn't most sex on legs? I mean, most of us do have legs.... lol.
I always thought the majority (possibly not a vast majority, but a majority nonetheless) of sex was done lying down, so "on legs" would be strange wording. But then of course, what do I know of real life sex? :lmao:
