The Anti-Portrait Portrait Show

Alright, we're overdue for a show at Gallery 1630. I've got a new angle.

I'm thinking we'll do this really quick; have a show before Christmas. This one might have broader appeal cos there will be no need for "real" art. Doesn't have to be hand rendered.

The deal is, create a "portrait" of a Buffyverse character. The catch is, you can't use a photo or likeness of that character. I just want you to suggest that character--with text, with photos (of anything except that character), shapes, colors, etc. Something like the experiments palabravampiress has been working on recently. Digital or traditional or a combo of both. Let me know if you have any interest, questions. Reply in this thread or you can PM me.

And if you want to do more than one, a whole series, that's fine. Bigger the show, the better. If you want to title the piece(es), that's helpful.

I'm working on a submission as we speak. I like it already - this thing has made me really think about the character rather than their appearance.

Got my ideas all planned out. Just have to find the images I need.

This sounds much to creative and artistic for my simple mind, but I am very excited to see all the submissions. I might try and do something, but I highly doubt that it will be submitted in time. Here's hoping though!

P.S. If someone does a Giles piece I will be happy forever and ever.

I'm all finished! Now I just have to see if it'll scan. I hope so, but I may just need to take a photo - not particularly good, cause my camera isn't wonderfull. I'll see what I can do. I'll get it in by Sunday at the latest.

Ack! This came up fast! I hope I have time to submit. I took a rather impulsive trip to Palm Springs this weekend. The hubby whisked me away all romantic-like. 🙂

Alrighty, tomorrow's the big day. I've gotten some cool entries. I think I'll probably bring the show online tomorrow afternoon. Like 4 PM, Central Time (10 PM GMT). So get me your entries at least an hour before that, if there are any stragglers out there.
