The Art Teacher in The Body

Did the creators of the show purposely cast a woman that looks like Joyce in the role of the art teacher in the episode The Body. The lady really looks like Joyce especially when they cut to her right after Buffy tells Dawn the bad news.Does anyone know if they did that as some sort of symbolism thing or something because I find it kinda strange.
 
I gotta say I didnt notice. I'll have to watch it again to see. As I dont really remember it I'd think that maybe it wasn't intentional, or if it was it wasn't as clear as it perhaps should've been. Or maybe I'm just not observant enough (But I'd like to think I am.)

Could anyone get a screencap of her and post it? I'm not sure where u get those, but I'm intrigued now, lol.

They do look alike somewhat in the facial features... She looks like a slighty (not Much) but slighty younger joyce... maybe they did do it on purpose but if not thats brilliant... i never even realized it really lol.... but then agian i dont realize much so
 
I never really thought about it, but looking back on it she did kinda look like Joyce, she also was kinda motherly, with the sadness on her face as Buffy tells Dawn about their mom.

As BEG was she did come across motherly, and as an art teacher....joyce worked in an art gallery. conincidence!? I think not. Did she have any dialogue? If so, maybe it was joyce-esque....
 
Hmm that art teacher looks really familiar. She kinda reminds me of a teacher who was on The 4400 but maybe not...I do know I've seen her before though.
 
Wow good job! I didn't even notice that the first time I watched it, but they do look really similar. I doubt they did it on purpose, but who knows, in the mind of Joss, everything has a purpose.
