This is the teaser that was shown at Comic-Con (why do they take so long to be released!!)

I can't wait to see what Whedon does with this movie, he's been making claim about wanting to explore the characters more then being just an action movie, so it has the potential to be better then the first!

Anyone got any theories on how Ultron comes to be, without Hank Pym?

I'm thinking its gonna be one of the Iron Man suits pissed about what happened in IM3, we already saw one being independently violent in the movie, so I think it will be an expansion of that.

I'm not up on current Marvel Comics history, so I don't know what the connection between Ultron and Pym are, but didn't Joss say some time back that the Wasp was going to be in "Avengers 2?" If she's gonna be there, I would imagine that Pym would also.

Hank Pym created Ultron in the comics, but Joss has said that he won't be including Pym in the movie. Pym's only real defining trait, and it's linked to his power, is his intelligence, and Joss has said that he doesn't know how to make Tony Stark cool if he isn't the smartest guy in the room. It's already pushing it a bit with Bruce Banner there. I think that's a really insightful view on it. Marvel Comics have WAY to many super-genius scientists as it is, and Hank Pym isn't an overly deep character anyways.

I would imagine that Ultron in The Avengers 2 will be an offshoot of something Stark and Banner do accidentally. They had some great scenes in the first movie, and they are the brains of the Avengers team, so that's how I imagine it'll go.

Aren't they making an Ant Man film in phase 3... I think a good idea would be to have Hank Pym make Ultron on behalf of Shield, that way he doesn't necessarily have to be in the film, he could just be cited as the creator but it would be Shields responsibility etc...

Yea...Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, World's End, Tin Tin) is directing Ant Man and Joe Cornish is writing (Tin Tin, Attack the Block) and it's due to be released in 2015.

I'm really glad they aren't (noticeably) altering Ultron's core look. He's always been, to me, one of the coolest looking comic book villains.
