When I say in my mind I am 18, I mean that my mind says I can do things that my body physically knows I cant. I cant play volleyball anymore without feeling like I have been hit by a mack truck the following morning, something that wouldnt have bothered a younger body. I know that I am older now. Trust me, I would not want to be 18 again for the world...lol, I like being the age I am.

Agreed, on all counts! I play hockey...ice hockey for anyone who isn't a Canucklehead. It is "non-contact" (yeah, right) and we're all over 35. I'm pretty sure we ALL feel like Mack truck accident victims on Sunday mornings, but we all play like we're teenagers (even if it doesn't look like it!). Because of the possibilities of getting injured, I find we are all more careful to stretch and warm up before hostilities start. Personally, except for the "recovery from exertion" factor, I am in better shape now than I was when I was 18...Mrs. D and I hit the gym 4 to 6 times a week, and I know I am physically stronger than I ever was...that's the pain about getting old, though, you have to do 4 to 6 times a week just to maintain what you've got, while a younger person would be building muscle, stamina, etc in the same timeframe. The "18 'til I die" mindset is just that...anyone over 30 knows their age the morning after a busy night, whether it is sports or "leisure activities" with our favourite beverages...it's just a way for us to keep on feeling connected, because I don't know anyone who would want to be 18 again...unless we got to keep the accumulated knowledge we've gained...but that's just Freaky Friday stuff!

Come on rec hockey is just meant to be exercise to keep the weight off from the beers in the locker room after the game lol.
well gosh gee I feel all oldish and stuff being at the brink of 31 to 100 thats pretty broad, but anyway I am 29, so I better enjoy the last vestiges of youth while I can...

no, no you now get to celebrate the anniversary of your 29th BDay. My wife gets an anniversary and 'B' card on her day from me, lol
I am in the Old group 🙁 " 31 to 100"

There should have been a 31-35 group, Id fit in there.

Yeah, I know, and nobody keeps stats...27 G/P, 2G, 24A, 26P, 54PIM, +14 (non-Canuckleheads can ask for a translation if they actually care!)...and nobody cares if we come first, SECOND, third, or whatever...riiiight...😉

54 PIMS in a non-contact league? Whats your nickname Dr. Hook? lol
I fall into that 31-100 grouping. I am of the Lovecraftian Elder God variety in terms of antiquity. Yikes, now that's old. (Or age 39, by reckoning of time here on earth 😛).

Damn!!! If I'd returned a couple of weeks ago I could have put myself into the second highest age bracket but now I'm officially 31.

Does mental age count? Because then I qualify as MUCH younger!

Ooh, did I miss something fun? People arguing. How come?

18 - can we get a woot woot!!!
I remember when I turned 21, all these people who had already turned it were like 'ohh its all down hill from here' and the same at 20 and 18.
But now i'm 24 they say its 25 and no doubt at 25 it will be 30 and so on...so Is there a specific age when things do go down hill.

Obviously i'm talking to all the OAP's(Old Age Posters)🙂
