Just wondering if there's an explanation for this that I haven't figured out, since it seems like an oddly large hole for such a meticulously planned series.
If the Scoobies are determined to make sure nobody -- not the vampires and demons, not the authorities, not Dawn's teachers -- knows that Buffy is dead, how does that square with the existence of a big ol' gravestone with "Buffy Anne Summers, 1981-2001" written on it?
Was the stone actually not in a cemetery, but on a secluded piece of private property somewhere? Did they find a funeral home that was willing to sell them a casket on the sly without insisting on the legalities that normally attach to the interment of the dead?
