I didn't know that, but that episode has one of my favorite Spike lines ever:

"A bear! You made a bear! Get rid of it! Get rid of it!" every time I see that episode that line cracks me up.

The whole episode is hilarious but that line is definately brilliant.

Don't forget Buffy's defensive "I didn't mean to!" That really made Spike's comment perfect.
How could you not tell the bear was real?

It made the scenes all the more epic
 
I actually already knew that. Just a heads up though, you posted this in the season 5 forum, but Pangs was a season 4 episode. 😉
