Of course inspired by Kanye. But lets keep the thread clean from interuptions shall we. 😉 What do you consider being the best or one of the best music videos in the world? And don't forget to explain why the video is great. Not an easy choice and with my incredibly bad memory I'm bound to forget hundreds of videos. Which is another reason why I'm asking. Show me good music videos. So I decided to go with one that I actually remember.

Why this video is great. 1. Shows you don't to spend a lot of money to do a good video. Budget videos doesn't have to be bad. It's simple and brilliant. 2. The video fits the song. Sounds simple but is not always the case. 3. The song is listenable. Some videos can be great but is more or less destroyed by the song. Which can go both ways since a good song can have a terrible video.

Yeah, I watched it about a year ago and I really liked it. I thought "Wow, they must took a long time to make this".
Hard question, trying to remember every video I've ever seen, but, here goes.

This one is weird, but the work that went into it puts it up there on my list.

I love that Daft Punk video.
My number one favourite has to hands down, be from the Canadian band "Nickelback". I'm a big fan of theirs to begin with, but this video I thought was particularly well done. I thought it was a breakup video when I first saw it, then at the end it all hits me: what was really going on with the girlfriend. A little sad, but it was nice to get emotionally into a video for once (and with the ending I ended up rewatching it for clues, which made it more enjoyable). It's their video for "Savin' Me", here it is in case anybody's interested:

And as a runner up, I had to post Kelly Rowland's '02 music video for "Stole". It's a little strange I guess, that both of my faves involve people dying (jeepers, I thought I was a positive gal!), but I actually teared up when I saw the video the first time. She really put the spotlight on some real issues in this video and certainly suceeded in getting me emotionally attatched. Great song too.

Probably one of all my all time favourites, just really love the cinematography and the look of it all. Its got a dark, sinister feel and i just love the song.

ARGH! I can't tell you how much I hate Belgium right now...half the videos people posted I can't watch because of country restrictions (and funnily, in both the Netherlands and Germany they would work, I know that!)

One of the best videos imo is Crazy by Aerosmith. I watched it a couple of times, then at some point saw an analysis of it, and I was just sooo amazed! I'm not sure the band actually intended everything that was in the analysis, but if they did I really love them!

I think Fuffy: Halo is better. It made by the same vidder. :)
Here's a couple of mine...

First, Nickleback's If Everyone Cared...shows the band doing the video, while also playing clips of people who in their own way made a difference...
