The Best Willow

As with all the characters in the Buffyverse, Willow goes through many transformations. She goes from the nerdy wallflower to sexy and confident college-girl to Dark Willow to goddess and with many *many* more in between.

So the question is: which Willow do you like better? And why?

My favorite Willow was Season 3 Willow. She was still kinda shy and innocent, but starting to stick up for herself more and she was absolutely adorable with Oz. I really lost interest in her character after Season 4. I thought she morphed into something completely different from where she started, and that ruined the reason I loved her character so much.
 
I actually like season 7 willow, not quite sure why, 😛
She seems dead relaxed and more mature maybe?

Season 4/5/7 willow is the best 🙂🙂
 
Season 1-2 Willow for me. I like how she's smart without any powers. She's awesome. Like Britt, I lost interest in her after season 4. I think Willow in season 7 is cool too. Especially in Orpheus(Angel S4). 🙂 About the looks, Willow S6 is so hot. 😀
 
Willow in seasons 1-3. God, I loved her so much. She was so adorable geeky, and it was funny, and cute, she was a great character. I do like her after that, I've never start hating her, but seasons 1-3 Willmster will always be in my heart 🙂
 
season 3 Willow. she's a perfect mixture of quirky young willow and cool wicca willow. also, willow and oz... so cute!

I'll have to go with season 3 Willow too. She was the same sweet Willow, but a tad more confident and without the arrogance she seemed to get in the later seasons.

I have a huge soft spot for season 1 Willow with the strange clothes and all that.

But if I must choose a season I think I'll go with season 3.
HisMrs, Taake and Bluebird all describes why better than I can.

I have a special place in my heart for nerdy, high school Willow. She was so cute back then, before she knew her power and what she would become. I loved how brave and loyal she was to her friends, her unrequited crush on Xander, her dorky mismatched outfits, her inability to form a sentence around a cute boy, her sharp wit. Willow IMO, even more so then the others, lost alot of her innocence as she grew up. I guess that's expected when one grows up, but I guess I never really liked the person Willow became. I liked the person she was. Hope that made sense.

Honestly, Willow is not one of the my favorite characters. I'm more or less indifferent to her. But I'll admit, she did get all the best lines in the early seasons.
 
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I prefer the latter Willows. Don't get me wrong- I love her for ever and always in all forms.
I think the Willow I like seeing best is Dark Willow because she's so complex. But I don't think I'd like her to be there all the time and the way I define my favorites is by if I can deal with it over and over and still love it (it's how I rate movies, books, colors...). So there, I'd have to go with season 4/5 Willow.

I like Willow here because she's confident and sexy and just coming into her own. She is totally adorable as nerdy, high school Willow, but in these seasons, she's just coming to terms with her homosexuality. She goes through devastating stuff (like Oz leaving) and is totally heartbreaking, but she still maintains adorableness and hilarity. She is still smart and still quircky and still nerdy, but she has an extra mmf that is not only... wonderful, but complex as well. I feel like Willow is one of the deeper characters on the show and that doesn't really present itself in the early seasons. As the show develops, so does Willow and we gain more and more insights into her character, but they're so subtle, it's not an issue so much as an occurrence. I like depthy, smart, confident Willow. Except I hate that she chose to be with Kennedy in season 7. That's just wrong.
