I love Angel, I think its a great show, but Buffy's the original. That show is what got me into the whole sci-fi thing.
 
BtVS but it's because I never really watched all Angel's epi because they didn't release it when I could watch it.
But so far, with what I watched, I still rather BtVS. Maybe coz it's a bit less dark, I donno...
 
Really tough choice! Can't believe you made me choose! Anyway, I had to go for Angel the Series cos I love him! lol...

But I still love BtVS just as much!
 
I really love both shows although after I started watching Angel I kind of went torwards it, mainly because Season 4 and the initiative put me to sleep, and season 5 and 6 weren't my favorites.
 
Both shows are exceptional to say the least, but I've always had a soft spot for Angel. It could be because of my favorite brooding vampire 😉 or it could be because the characters are more adult and the storylines are darker...I'm not sure. But I know Angel takes top honors for me 😀
 
For me it depends on the season.. From S1-S3 buffy it's my fave but i'm not much of a fan untill S7... Angel however, if it has db or jm in it, it's the best... I say tie!
 
I voted for Buffy, but Angel has really come into itself the last few seasons. I have loved watching Angel become it's own show without Buffy. I love both, but I love watching Buffy kick butt!!
 
As much as I'm loving Angel right now, I have to go with Buffy. I mean, Season 6 and 7 could not have been better in my opinion. I think that's what put faith back in the show for me. Personally, I think the Angel writing could be better but I'm not saying it's bad. But enough of my rambling, Buffy for me. 🙂
 
I have to say Buffy. While I have always loved Angel on a week-to-week basis, the overall plots have never been quite right for me. I didn't like the Darla or Connor plots... I've been liking this season more because it seems like that stuff is not there. Buffy has always had good season spanning plots.
 
If the question is, "Which Joss Whedon show is the best?" the answer, or at least my answer, is: Neither.

Firefly, as conceived by JW hit the broadcast airwaves full speed, and only Fox's nonsupport stopped it. From the opening two-hour pilot ("Serenity") he and his actors knew what their characters were about, about their individual stories, and how they related to one another and their universe.

And when it came to an end you could see River Tam's damaged genius as maybe the finest creation of the writer who'd previously given us Willow Rosenberg, Dru and Winifred Burkle.

There was never any sense of a show figuring itself out and finally hitting its stride (as Buffy did finally in season three). This was some of the finest television ever. IMO.

Love them both with a firey passion but Buffy will always have my heart...it's just home to me.
 
I have to say Buffy it's the show for me and everything after that is just second best. Angel is okay but I just like Buffy much more. 🙂
 
The Buffy show was my first love and it will always be my favorite, I just love all the characters so much and I loved every season of it. I really love the Angel show too so it's my second fave show, I especially love this season of Angel and I love to rewatch it. I've watched both shows from the beginning, I choose Buffy but they're both tops
 
Buffy is my favorite show ever. Angel is my favorite current show(Smallville will take over if Angel ends) but I've never liked Angel nearly as much as Buffy, though unlike some people I'm liking Season 5 of Angel a lot more than the previous seasons.
