Episode 8 S6:

Rajj: "If a zombie bites a vampire and the vampire bites a human, does the human become a vampire or a zombie? Or a zompire?"

I laughed out loud hearing that, I never thought I'd ever hear a S8 or S9 reference.
 
I heard that too!! But I looked up zompire, and it appears that the term existed before Buffy season 9, so I don't know if it was a direct reference.
 
Funny, I saw that episode the other day and had no idea what they were talking about (I haven't read S9 yet). That's hilarious that it's not just a Buffy reference, but a Buffy comic book reference.

It wouldn't surprise me. They talk about Joss Whedon stuff all the time on that show.

Brilliant reference...the writers could have researched the current Buffy storylines. 🙂
 
Well Zompire is pretty much the go to combine form of Zombie and Vampire, it doesnt have to be referencing anything. But it could be, like early stated they do reference Joss Whedon in the show.
