$1000??! That's nuts! I would dodge it, too. Since I just got a huge repair bill on my car, I might have to see what I can do with stickers and magic markers for a "car tab" next time.

There's A LOT of people in LA who aren't registered. Especially these days, money is so tight. I could pay it, but then I'd have no gas money, so what's the point?

As for tags, etc., here (my part of Texas anyway) they won't usually pull over for expired tags. However, it's a nice add-on to the ticket if they've pulled you over for something else. And when you register your vehicle they know whether or not you're current on insurance and inspection (although inspection is apparently going away for most passenger vehicles).

I've found that if you're respectful and don't deny you've screwed up, most cops will be cool with you. For example, I was pulled over several years ago in Culver City...and I was SWEATING because I had a bench warrant out for failure to appear in court. (Ooops!) So I'm sitting there, preparing to be arrested and for my truck to be impounded. ๐Ÿ˜ณ The cop said, "You made a three point turn in a business district," and he gives me a ticket. After a brief pause, he said, "Oh, and I know about the warrant....but that's not why I pulled you over," and he smiled. "Have a nice day, ma'am." Holy crap!! I really dodged a bullet there! I made sure to bring a big box of donuts to the police station a few days later. ๐Ÿ˜„

One of the YouTubers I like accepts "donations" for song requests during live streams on weekends. Minimum is $10, which is cool. But I've noticed that some of their subscribers are WAY too emotionally involved. And they'll pay lots more money just to get noticed. This one girl sent in $200, thinking that she'd get special treatment. She didn't, of course. ๐Ÿ˜„ Now she's broke, and last week she begged for a freebie request. Which she didn't get, of course. I kinda feel bad for her.

People need to realise that YouTubers are not your personal friends. They're running a business. Sure, they'll interact with you sometimes, be friendly, all that, but it's a business.

Thereโ€™s a whole market because of this sort of behavior now. This need for an internet boyfriend or an internet friend.

Streamers love it. You get big donators whose whole personality is blowing money for recognition from people who donโ€™t care about them. Itโ€™s really just kinda sad.

Exactly. When that girl I mentioned donated $200 (when all she had to give was $10) of course everyone made a big deal about it. I mean, she got the attention she craved, of course. But damn! It didn't last long.

And yes, it's pretty sad. It's a business, but some people don't completely comprehend that. I love my YouTubers, but I also know that they're just two people running a business. They're not my friends, they're people who entertain me. I like them, but not enough to give them $200. No way.

Wow, I never knew about this. I did for camgirls since I had an ex who was obsessed, but just for a shout out or song request? People be making easy money! Smart idea.

If you like the people, it's fun to watch their live stream because it's interactive. I just draw the line at throwing money their way. In fact, I probably won't do the $10 thing tonight. Stream starts in 57 minutes. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

And the ones I watch are lots of fun. They swear as much as I do, they're not completely sane, and their pretty honest about things. Nine of their stuff is rehearsed so we never know what might happen. Oh, and they're stoners. ๐Ÿฅณ

Frankly, I'd never want staff in my house, unless they were part time. The thought of people creeping around my home 24/7 unnerves me. My home is a fortress of solitude and I like it that way.
