I thought there was a thread for this so couldn't find it anywhere.

Here's the official site

It was co-written by Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon, and the plot is:

The Cabin in the Woods provides a new twist on a classic scenario, in this case the young-people-stranded-in-the-woods horror trope. Jenkins and Whitford will play white-collar co-workers with a mysterious connection to the cabin. A group of college kids spend a weekend at a mysterious cabin in the woods.

Starring:

Richard Jenkins as Steve Hadley
Bradley Whitford as Richard Sitterson
Jesse Williams as Holden McCrea
Chris Hemsworth as Curt Vaughan

And also has Fran Kranz, Amy Acker and Tom Lenk

It was due to be released in Feb 2010, then it was delayed till Jan 2011 so it could be converted to 3D, but because of the finical difficulties MGM are having it's been delayed indefinitely.

Joss said at Comic Con that he hopes it can still be released, but he jut doesn't know. Which is a pity and it sounds interesting.

Well, bluh... It could be interesting, but it kinda reminds me of "Wrong Turn" and "Cabin Fever" with that graphic...

Well, that's disappointing. Does it seem like this 3D thing is ruining everything LOL? I don't even like 3D movies- I am a migraine sufferer, and watching a regular movie in the theaters is hard enough. I walked out of the last 3D movie I went to with a full-on, raging headache. I told my kids "Never again!"

I'm with you there. Everything is coming out as 3D now. =/
Oh darn, I was looking forward to this. Everything is going to be 3D soon, which I rather this weren't to be the case.

Movies made in 3D are one thing.

But movies CONVERTED to 3D in post production? EPIC FAIL.

The problem of course is that in a film with no production planning for an extra dimension, the 3D aspect doesn't really add anything to what you see. Its just looks like a fugly mess.

See Clash of the Titans, The Last AirBender and many others.

Its just a cheap, cynical way for Hollywood to hike up the ticket price for a movie that was supposed to viewed in 2D - thereby bastardising the director's intended vison for the sake of a higher return at the box-office.

Well done Hollywood!

Clash of the Titans what a shambles that film turned out to be.

Ugh me too! The last movie I saw in 3D was Inception. It was great but half way through my head was imploding i saw it again in 2D and it was much more enjoyable.
