I used the chat a lot in the beginning. Before it went all cool and popular. 😉 But I don´t use it anymore. I´ve been in once in the last weeks. Why? I´m the oppositve to Blondie. Yes, many people makes things funny and crazy but my brain don´t like the image of new messages popping up every 5 seconds (if one´s are lucky). Talking to a few people in a rather slow pace (not the same as dead) suits me more. But for the most part it usally ends up in crazy randomness and it just gets too much for me. Can be fun for a little while (unless it´s 20 messages each minute), but past experiences have taught me that it just isn´t for me. And if it´s busy it takes all of my concentration, can´t eve browse the net on the same time. Which I still manage to do if I´m on msn.
That said, there´s some parts I miss. Some people I just talked with on the chat (vm and pm isn´t the same thing even though I settle with it now), and not being up to date with eveything is not easy for a curious person such as myself. Maybe someone can lure me in sometime if it´s pretty quiet. But the general idea for me is to stay away.
I do think that people should give it a chance if they haven´t. You might like it, you might hate it but you really don´t know until you´ve tried it. And even if it´s not for me I love the idea and I´m glad we have it. Good work Buffy! (And all the other people who helped.)

I've been on it a few times, i normally have to go on late at night so i don't get to spend a huge amount of time in the chat. At first it was a little confusing becuase people already knew each other and had little quirks but i just tired to join in! even if sometimes i have no idea what they are all talking about! overall i think its pretty good 🙂

If you have no idea what's going on in the chat, the key is sticking around for a while. You might not understand all the random that happens, but if you hang out, if you come by just to lurk, you'll get that a lot of it is inside jokes. You'll be in on them the more time you spend in the IRC. I didn't get it when I first came by either, but now I make it a point to stop by at least everyday. You meet awesome people you'd never have the chance to talk to otherwise, and the randomness seems a lot less random the more time you spend hanging out.
Just jump in! Even if what you have to say is more random then what we say, or if you have no idea what's up, just say so. Anyone and everyone is welcome in the IRC. It's a bowl of utter hilarity, what with me coming by drunk and rambling about Wes Borland, the Spoons and Laura Show, Lindsey mixing drinks in the bar for Five by Five and Willy and Lou being...Willy and Lou. We're not haters, even though I like to say otherwise. 😉
Anyway, I voted that I love the IRC. When there are people about, it's a good time to be had by all. And when things get dead, there's always a good round of trivia to cure the lack of funneh. 😀

I've never been and am not quite sure how to get there, although I'm sure I could look it up in the BB News and Updates thread. Really, I don't like chat rooms that much. It's hard to keep up with what's going on. I prefer smaller, more slowly paced conversations. In chat rooms, I always end up replying to stuff like ten messages later and by then, we've already moved to another topic.

Pala.. just click on the Chat button to top right, near the log out. And dont fret about falling behind. I am uberslow and it works awlright. Besides, you have to get used to the chat room to partake in BBtv goodness!

I joined yesterday, and one of the first things I did was go to the chatroom. It was... overwhelming. But fun, very fun. And in that little amount of time, I know that Five by Five likes Elvish, that scobro is an evil Riley fan, and that Lyri wins every argument about Connor (even though I don't agree with her). And I met Dlou, and that's something in and of itself. 😉
I'm a closet blonde (it never shows up in my hair), and rather on the crazy side, but it was fun, even when I just watching what was going on. I liked it. 🙂

I didn't vote. Been a couple times, but I wouldn't say I LOVE it. And none of the other options apply to me either. It's ok, but kinda random and I never have enough time to just sit and lurk for awhile....I kinda like it is my vote....

I voted I love it, I don't love it the way I love cats or spoons, but I love it, really, I love the people. It's good to go chat whenever you're online, sure, IRC is a little crazy, but who or what isn't? It's a good way to get to know people better, obviously you can talk to people on the boards via PM or VM, but chatrooms works in realtime, so you get to know personalities better, and everyone is funny, real funny, funnier than joke dog poo.

But it's tons o fun. If there is many people in, it can get a tad confusing, but still really amazing. There is always something to talk about, or to. Everybody get along, and you have so many ways of knowing more about your fellow BB'ers than otherwise. Here you chat live.
I love being on, since I have some of the craziest people to talk to when I am on. I mean, I had never thought that I would end up loving so many of them. We have nicknames, and we just know each other, and what we like. We laugh and we cry. We joke and we...hate. 😛
And we talk gibberish. Nonsens, and utter nonsens. Volapyk.
I would hate not being on IRC. I just love the people on it too much. 🙂
