I never got into the show, but weirdly I love the book tie-ins by Sarah Rees Brennan, so This is a bit of a bummer. Though maybe the books will get a grester creative license to carry on now.
 
I liked this show a lot, though the last cliffhanger promised a "make it or break it" deal. It's so difficult to do time paradoxes as they've set up but can be awesome if done right, and I'm hoping they do it right.

That said, even if I love how the situation is resolved, I'm glad they're ending it. They've simply taken it too far to keep the show going (at the very least it needs to start fresh with a spin off), and I'm sure anything after this would simply be redundant at best. It's a rare but valuable talent to know when the best time to end a show is, one that resolves it well enough (with room for fanfic) but not turning into a Frankenshow of itself.
 
Aw, come on, I finally started watching Riverdale just so I could watch this Sabrina show and it's ending? Well, on the plus side, maybe by the time I see it, I don't have to wait for more episodes and get a complete show.
 
I am surprised by this. This seemed like one of the most marketable shows on Netflix and is mostly popular with at least the target audience and a few casuals. I liked the main cast, and was impressed by how dark it got at times, plus some of the fun cheesy b-movie parts. This filled a niche. Hope it gets picked up somewhere else.

Not sure about this. I'm willing to bet if you look through Netflix's catalogue most of their shows are produced by other companies. My guess they still get a decent slice of the pie being distributors.

But they also have to pay a decent slice for the right to distribute it. And if it isn't gaining viewers then what's the point. They aren't making the money off the show they could, and if it's not a valuable assist, why keep it.

With their own produced content, not only do they retain all of the profit (as they don't have to pay for distribution rights), they have complete control over marketing, complete control on the valuable IP, complete control over show licensing. That's where the money is. And that's where they've been heading for awhile now. You have to make the investors happy, not the fans.

Yeah I think technically it is only 2 seasons with 2 parts each but at 10 episodes a part it's basically 4 seasons 😂
 
I'll admit, I never watched beyond Part 1, but I did enjoy it. I'm not surprised Netflix has cancelled it though, it's kinda their thing....
 
I think if it had less romance, and the characters taking less non apocalyptic stuff out of proportion, it would've been a lot better.

The romantic plots were probably the weakest bits but I still enjoyed it a lot.

The obsessive romance plots grated on me as well, but I thought such fantasies was what the majority craved.
I'm surprised it lasted so long, considering how unwonderful it was in the beginning.
