There's some stuff I've forgotten, I'd like to refresh myself on, like...

When to use use him and me. When to use him and I.

The difference between a colon and a semi-colon.

When to use which, that, or who.

Who and whom.

just take out "him and" and then its whichever makes more sense
 
So it's like, 'him and I went to the store', but 'they gave it to him and me'. Is that correct?
 
He and I went to the store. They gave it to him and me.

Anytime a personal pronoun is following a preposition, like "to", it's the objective case. Even if it sounds funny, it's correct.

In the second one, the pronouns "him" and "me" are acting as objects of the preposition "to", not the subject of the sentence.

He went to the store, not Him went to the store
I went to the store, not me went to the store.
so you get He and I went....

and They gave it to him, not They gave it to he
They gave it to me, not They gave it to I
so you get, They gave it to him and me.
