How many actually think that the contract that Angel signed during the Black Thorn meeting in Not Fade Away actually mattered in him fullfilling the prophecy that he becomes a human? Well, I guess it depends on how you chose to end off the show due to that cliffhanger. I say he became human but still remained strong and then started a family with Buffy.

I think he somehow signed away his chance to ever become human, but not necessarily every vampire with a soul's chance.

I think he signed it away, but Angel is his real name though so there could be a loophole and Wolfram and Hart may be gone if Angel and Co succeded but they dont decide weither he gets it our not it was The Powers That Be..

I think he signed it knowing he would never become human again but he realised that the fight would never end (which was the whole point of the last ep - and the whole season, for that matter) and that he would not be as effective a champion as a human. He also knows, that since Spike now has a soul, that the Shanshu prophecy can still be fulfilled.

I agree with Mr. Pointy. When he signed that he knew what he was giving up...and he did give it up. I don't think he has a possibility to become human anymore. Everything he's worked for for so long is gone. He sacrificed it knowing quite well what he was doing.

How can Angel sign away something that he can't control? If the contract is broken and he does become human, the Powers That Be are the ones that will have to be punished. And I think W&H are gonna have a hard time with that....
