The Crazy Ones premiered big last night!

Just to set it up; it did have the rating gold The Big Bang Theory as it's lead in, but it got a whopping 15.60 million people watching (vs Shields 11.90)

Shield did better in the coveted 18-49 demographic (because CBS is for old people who dont know how to change their channel 😉 )

But The Crazy ones is the most watched premier of new shows this season (so far), and was CBSs best rated 18 - 49 demo show in 4 years!

Pretty impressive, although doesn't really mean anything if it can't retain that over the coming weeks, but still impressive

Am I right in thinking American TV shows all it's pilots and new seasons in the same period? It sounds pretty crazy (ones), I'm not sure if want to watch a new series in case it gets pulled straight away.

Did anyone watch this? Was it good?

Well they usually have 3 start periods, September/October then January/February and finally Summer shows.

If The Crazy Ones has 3/4 more weeks like it's first I'd say it's a definite for renewal, there's no way it's getting pulled straight away with ratings like this

Usually a show has an order for around 12/13 episodes, and by week 5 it gets a back order and 9 episodes added to the original order, then during the course of season it gets renewed for a next season.

I'd expect to see a drop off in these numbers next week. There has been such media coverage of SHIELD that I actually forgot all about TCO.

I watched it on the internet (we were on the road during its air time) and I think that Sarah did a more than passable job of not being totally overshadowed by Robin Williams. I honestly wasn't sure that she could pull it off, specially in a half hour show.

That...stuns me, to be honest. I didn't think there was anything particularly noteworthy about The Crazy Ones. I suppose the star power of Robin Williams being back on TV carried it.

I put it all down to The Big Bang Theory lead in, which had something like 22 million viewers (It's best premier ratings ever), rather then the show itself or even Williams.

There was a lot of talk of Robin Williams vs Michael J Fox as both their shows were on at the same time, and Foxs show did alright in the ratings but nothing spectacular, I'd expect TCO to have similar numbers with any other lead in, but having TBB would have been a major help.

I enjoyed it, but it doesn't deserve these kinds of numbers!

So happy for Sarah. I was really hoping this was going to pull big ratings. I got everyone that I could to watch it and help support her. I want this to be successful, she really deserves it. I loved the show, thought Sarah was the shining part of it also. Sooo happy for her.

Does not surprise me in the least. This show could be sh*t and it will still pull in the ratings, there are two reasons for this.

1. Robin Williams
2. Sarah Michelle Gellar

These two people have been wanted back on T.V (in a comedic situation) for God knows how long.
Nobody ever thought that a) they would return to television AND b) that they would return TOGETHER...

Mork and Buffy back on T.V = the best possible ratings.

I dont know about that, I dont think Sarah has that kind of draw, hence the failed movie career and Ringer!
