New update on 'the crow 4' with david!!

New Update on "The Crow 4" with David!

The movie is nearly completed and the producers hope to be able to release it soon.

Wicked Prayer Update & Other Miscellaneous Items
Post-production continues with Wicked Prayer. The first cut should be completed any day now (if not already complete) and hopefully, word on what Miramax/Dimension has in store as far as a release (either theatrical or direct to video) will be forthcoming soon. Last word was the only thing not secured was the composer for the score, but that should be taken care of by now and a fully scored cut of the film soon to follow for the powers that be.

Hate to harsh on a D.B. project, but I can't believe they're even pretending a theatrical release is a possibility for this. If this movie doesn't go direct-to-video I'll eat my left one.

I really liked The Crow, but the franchise should've died with Brandon Lee.
 
I've only seen the first fourty minutes of Salvation (I have the rest on VHS, so I'll see it later) ... it wasn't great so far, but the id was pretty good, I'm not sure wether Wicked Prayer will be any good, the story look kinda simple ... and then there's MIRAMAX!

Couldn't have said it better.

I like David but they really sould have left the Crow alone after Brandon. It just feels so wrong...

It does feel wrong. You know what feels really strange? Watch The Crow right after watching The Dragon, the biopic of Bruce Lee. It ends on a shot of Brandon as a little boy, just after Bruce died...he's maybe four years old, and the voiceover is talking about Bruce's legacy. Totally freaky.
 
Yeah, like some crazy family curse...somethign about the burial place of his grandfather...I have read a lot of different stuff about him and his family...wierd stuff that makes all the hairs stand on end...seeing him as a tiny made me all weepy...
 
I'd say the other movies are boring, but the first one was just so amazing and passionate. I saw it having no idea of the franchise or who Brandon was, even the fact that he was dead. I just really connected with the movie and thought that it was amazing. There was one bit that got me, and even more when I knew what happened. There is a scene where Eric (Brandon's character) is leaning against a post in the street, he looks up as kids run past him laughing with torches. It goes to a slow motion and he laughs, they play over a slow instrumental track. It looks so natural and real, it brought a tear to my eye.

Although I agree that they should have left well alone, none of the other movies has been a patch on the original. They just don't have the same passion and direction of the first. And don't even get me started on the Stairway to heaven movie and tv show. Its one thing to have a movie where 'The Crow' character is different, say Ash for instance. But when you use the character of Eric once again with a low rate actor such as Marc Dracos...its just NO Brandon was Eric and no one, you hear me no one can do a better job.

You may have gathered that this is my all time favourite movie, and Brandon my fave actor (outranking even my love for my fellow Scot Ewan)
 
I'm gonna try and ignore all you just said so I can watch the movie for David's sake and then give an unprejudiced opinion about it.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he does well and I will watch it to see him. Its more the actual character of 'The Crow' that gets to me. Although you'll find The Crow is not actually a character itself...those that have seen the previous will know what I mean. Lets put it this way, they have made 4 Crow movies now and only one of them was good, so here is hoping that this one will pick up the bar a bit.
 
I get ya, I gotta admit, I have a bad feeling about this, real bad.

Angel good guy David Boreanaz told Zap2it that he indulged his dark side over the summer hiatus, playing the villain in The Crow: Wicked Prayer, the fourth film in the Crow franchise. "I was a bad guy," Boreanaz told the site. "He was the leader of [this gang called] The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, an ex-con. It was great. I had a lot of fun. It was a hard-paced film. We shot in 23 days. It was not an easy shoot."

Boreanaz played Luc Crash, the leader of a satanic biker gang who murders a young man named Jimmy Cuervo (Edward Furlong) and his girlfriend, Lily (Emmanuelle Chriqui), as part of a ritual to turn Crash into an immortal demon, the site reported.

"He was more than a villain," Boreanaz said. "I liked the dialogue. I liked the setting. I liked the script. I just really liked the role. It was juicy. I like being bad. He's two different guys. He's an ex-con that becomes the Antichrist, so you've got two different roles that you're playing."

Boreanaz added, "From what I hear from the trailer, it looks great. I've seen a little bit of dailies. I'm happy. Dimension Films is happy. It could breathe some good life into a franchise that's been dead for a while." The Crow: Wicked Prayer is slated for a 2004 release.

Can't wait to see it. But done in 23 days... that's pretty short.
 
Think about Buffy. The shows are actually only about 42.5 Minnutes long (I'm so cool), and usually shoot in 5 -7 days, and they typically have such a high level of quality to them, movies these days only run for about 90 mins. I can see the actual shoot taking only 23 days, i've heard of movies being shot in something like 5 or 6 days. But, yeah, i know what you mean, by movie comparrison, very short.

Haven't seen that trailer yet, do you know where it can be found. The shooting is short, but it can be done.

David cheers Furlong's 'Crow' comeback

We just might see a resurgence in the career of beleaguered actor Edward Furlong next year -- if his performance in the upcoming "The Crow: Wicked Prayer' is as strong as his fellow star in the feature, "Angel's' David Boreanaz, insists it is.

"He did a great job as the Crow. He's really a good actor. I was surprised,' says Boreanaz. He admits he wasn't sure what to expect from Furlong, the "Terminator 2' star, who in recent years became better known for his drug demons and party-boy escapades with the likes of ex- girlfriend Paris Hilton than for his acting. By the beginning of this year, however, reports had it that Furlong was truly cleaning up his act, staying off alcohol and illegal substances and looking healthier than he had in ages.

Boreanaz reports, "We raised the bar for each other and really had an amazing time getting into what we were doing. We got into each other's face. We're both very physical. I was surprised we didn't get hurt doing the fight scenes. There were a lot of bruises, though.'

The flick also features Tara Reid, plus Dennis Hopper as an underworld boss. "He's one of my icons. I really wanted to work with him,' says David. Boreanaz plays a fugitive ex-con murderer who is "basically a satanic cult member who turns into the Antichrist. He's a great character, and the writing has dimensions behind it.' Still, adds Boreanaz with a slight laugh, "I need to find a lighter role.'
