The Dark Knight! ~POSSIBLE SPOILERS~

I saw TDK on Saturday, and let me tell ya, it knocked my socks off.
It was so amazing, and I plan on seeing it again ASAP, so basically, I'm gonna rave about this movie!

First of all, The Joker made the movie for me. Not only was he SO HOT (It's a me thing. Don't diss!), but Heath's acting was just amazing. Since The Joker is perhaps my favorite villain of all time, it's not easy for someone to do him justice in my eyes, and Heath just nailed it. RIP...we lost a great actor (and the possibility of a great Joker sequel starring him). :[ And as much as I'd like to see The Joker in the next movie, I don't think anyone could replace Heath. The Nurse Joker scene and the "magic trick"...brilliant!

And then there was Christian Bale. Not as hot as The Joker, but still gorgeous. He was definitely channeling Patrick Bateman as Bruce Wayne, but either way, he did a good job. And as for Batman, he could have done better; his Batman voice was pretty ridiculous. But hey, at least he didn't have Batnipples a la Batman & Robin, right? 😉

Aaron Eckhart also did a great job in this movie. As a big Two-Face fan, I'd say hee managed to transform from Harvey to Two-Face surprisingly well, which couldn't have been easy because it was such a quick, sudden transition. Though I don't agree with the fangirls who are saying he's hot (because seriously, The Joker was the hottest part of the movie for me, ha), he did a great job.

Also, major props to Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman (as usual...), and Michael Caine! And I would say that Maggie Gyllenhaal did well, but I just couldn't stand Rachel...I'm glad

I absolutely loved the Batman movie! I did go to the midnight showing and I made I really cool shirt I will try to upload some pics of it later. There were a bunch of people dressed up like Batman and a few people were joker and I do have to say props on those costumes. Heath was an absolutely stunning Joker. My favorite part of the entire movie was when he dressed up like the nurse. :smile: It was soo friggin hilarious. When he goes out in the hallway and gets the hand sanatizer LMAO! Anyway I would really like to see Harley Quinn in the next movie maybe played by hmmm Natalie Portman I dunno! I just love that character. So yeah great movie and oh yeah Christian Bale was in it.

I kind of expected him to be the big villain in the next movie. And I'm sad that there can't be a sequel with the Joker. 🙁

I heard Kieth Szarabajcka (Holtz) is in this movie, but I haven't heard what part he's playing, or if he was any good. Well? Was he? lol

I'm so excited for this movie. It doesn't hit here until Thursday, I think, so by that stage, I should be back on my feet and I'll be able to see it at the weekend, fingers crossed.

I've been so excited about this movie since last summer, and it just looks awesome. I can't wait to see it.

I guess I need a brain transplant or something... but I was not as enthralled as everyone else. It didn't blow me away. Sure, it was highly entertaining, but I think I went in with too high of expectations, because of what everyone was saying. I did like it, but..... I’ve actually read some purists online complaining that this wasn’t really a comic book movie, that is was basically a crime drama with a superhero inserted into it. They were sort of lamenting the loss of the fantasy aspect, thinking this bodes ill for the genre.

I really liked it a lot, but I didn’t love it on an emotional level, ya know? I admire it. To me it was refreshing cos it felt like a throwback to great crime/heist movies from the 70s, 80s.

Ledger’s Joker, just transcendent. Very inventive, dread-inducing, funny. This almost felt like a horror movie at times when he was around. Or a black comedy.

I appreciated the the music a lot, the score. Really pretty minimalistic. Very effective at ratcheting up tension. Good stuff.

Some great, imaginative action. The retrieval of the accountant in Hong Kong, the chase through Gotham with Joker, Harvey Dent and Batman on his bat-pod...

And I like how this series tackles really basic superhero issues of vigilantism, terrorism, corruption...using lies and deception to protect people—that runs throughout the film, among many characters.

The director's goal was to avoid the fantasy aspect.
He refuses to adhere to it. Which is also why some of the more iconic villains of Batman will not be seen, ever.
I think it is a good choice.

I love Bat-man and all his villains and I in total shock at how amazing the dark knight is.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film was that to be it felt like a comic book, I'm not entirely sure what some 'fanboys' mean by taking the fantasy out of Bat-man, i've been reading the comics for the past 7 years and for the most part the hasn't been all that fantastical, the only thing I can think they mean is the fact that MR.J didn't use a killer hand buzzer or throw a pie.

The new bat films are based on 'year one' and while I haven't yet read it, I know that Frank Miller wrote it, and Miller is famous for dark and 'realistic' stories and even darker characters.

My fav part of the film was of course the joker, this has nothing to do with Heath Ledgers death, in the film he IS the joker and I forgot that Heath was no longer with us during the film because I wasn't seeing anyone but the joker.

My personal favourite aspect of the film has to be...

the way the joker re-told fake stories of how he got his scars, oh and the way he kept doing that tongue thing made me 'feel' his scars.

Saw it last night, bloody fantastic! Ledger stole the movie, that's a definitive Joker right there, and considering someone as illustrious as Jack Nicholson has previously played the same role, that's quite the achievement.

SPOILER: The cop that Joker takes hostage while everyone else goes after Dent and Dawes before everything blows to Kingdom Come? Gained quite a few pounds, but then again, also a lot of gray hairs...

I'm usually not a fan comic book superhero movies, and I never got around to seeing Batman Begins so I'm missing a bit of back story, but I really enjoyed this movie.

I like that they're moving away from the fantasy super power elements because IMO that makes this movie that much more chilling and scary. Superpowers were always the metaphor for real-world situations, but seeing it play out in a real-world way is that much more eye-opening and spine tingling.

It didn't grab my attention for the whole movie, towards the end I felt that the story dragged a little, but it was kind of necessary for the impact of the moral of Two-Face to show through effectively.

I've never read the comic books so I wont speculate on which characters should/could be introduced in the next movie, but for once I'm looking forward to a continuation of a superhero movie. 😀

I will, I think that they will go with either 'The Black Mask' or 'The mad hatter'.

I've heard that in the next one 'Robin' will be showing up as a girl, I don't know if thats means Steph or not.

If it does then the film should do 'War games' (a story from the comics, with Black mask.)

I'd prefer to see 'the mad hatter' but with his recent pedophile vibe the film would have to be subtle and disturbingly brilliant, I don't think this will happen as I think it would be far too dark for DC to do in a mainstream film, especially seeing as the pedophile thing has only been hinted at.

I loved it. The only thing that bothered me was that (with me being me) when I saw how disfigured Harvey Dent was I kept thinking "there's no way he could talk if his face was that badly injured. It'd be impossible" over and over. I think that in trying to make it more gruesome looking it made the scenes with him less believable (sp?).

I also didn't notice Holtz. Crap.

I saw it, I liked it, I wasn't in love with it as some people were.
Some people I talked to were speechless for hours afterward and ehh, I wasn't.
I had no idea that the Joker was Heath Ledger until someone told me afterwards though. It looked nothing like him. He did a great job with it.

This movie blew me a way. I loved every aspect of it and the fact that heath did an amazing job as the joker had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't wait to see if they do another movie.

It was great. Not that extremely great that many seems to think though.
For me it was just another great movie...

Heath Ledger was impressive. His Joker worked.

The thing that annoyed me the most is actually Batmans voice.
I guess he tries to hide his real voice or something but still...
