Its a bit irritating when convention related websites are out of date, but you find they normally have someone doing it for them that only updates once in a while *sigh*

Less than a week to go! Is anyone else from here actually going? We're going up the night before and staying in a hotel opposite the Brighton centre. We need to know where the good clubs are.

Can't wait, I'm going up by train on saturday with my sister and going to the event on the Sunday, I.ve never been to Brighton before so it should be good. I've heard that Nick Brendan's twin brother is going and also they are close to getting a replacement for Amber Benson.

Ok, i went to the event on Saturday, and heres an overview of the day.

The doors opened at 9, and we started queuing at 8. When we got in, there was alot of complaints about the seating, as people who paid different prices for Silver, Bronze and normal seats were all sitting in the same section. To remedy this, the organisers had the bright idea of sitting the cheaper ticket holders even further back, which did'nt go down well. When David and supporting cast finally arrived 2 hours late, they spent a total of about 1 hour on stage, as opposed to the planned total of 3 hours. As alot of people had paid for autographs, they did'nt have time to do too much on stage.

David was very subdued, and did'nt answer alot of the questions. He did let a girl celebrating her 16th birthday to sit on stage with him to ask her question, which was nice. Nicholas Brendan, Kelly Donovan Christine Sutherland and particularly Mark Lutz were great fun, very funny with great one liners. Mark had seen an episode of Tricia, and was obsessed with the word 'slappers'. Between stage a ppearances, we were'nt kept informed of when the next appearances would be, so there was alot of waiting around. During these periods there was a dj with an Ali G complex playing 'wequests'. Despite boasting 1600 albums, he played the same 12 songs over and over.

As you would expect from Buffy and Angel fans, we made up for the dissapointing day with a great evening. The costume disco was great, and the winner made a great job with his Lorne outfit, and even found time to leave a very full wallet on the bar. If you are reading this Lorne, you're welcome. There were also 2 VERY hot looking Lornettes. Me and my mate went to the Event II club with 2 very lovely Pink Ladies we met at the event. We drank Lager, Tequila, Whiskey, Champagne, Vodka and some weird fruit alcohol.

All in all, a very poorly organised event, but a great evening. And to the guy who put his heart and soul into 'Rest In Peace' during the Once More With Feeling karaoke, Brighton don't rock, you do!

Yes there were some bad points to the event and the organisers were getting stressed too stressed out, it was pretty funny when the organisers said take photo's at the beginning of the questions and answers so you don't blind the cast and Nicholas Brendan told them to chill out and all take a photo at the time and blind us.
And when they put on the Angel music and Mark Lutz came on the stage and then decided to go back of the stage and did a lap of honour and everyone flashed their cameras at him and they had to put the angel music back on when he came back on stage which was ever so funny and Kelly Donavon was very funny and Kristine Sutherland was very nice.
My Sister got David's autagraph and he did not personalize anybodys which I think was wrong and the ticket organisation was a shambles.
But appart from that I really enjoyed myself I got to meet new friends and I was glad I got to meet some of the cast and I can't wait to go next year so I better start saving.

kewl...sif you was there...near DB...omg..did you meet him?

I was there and met him but the evnt was an appalling shambles. The JE site was full of complaints, which have now all mysteriously disappeared. They even offered free tix for another event or a refund. How bad does that tell you it was? The organisers asked for questions and said they'd be online to answer them. They didn't and all questions have been removed. Anyone looking at the site will only see the positive postings. I'd advise anyone to steer well clear of JE, they are amateurs who I'm sure are only in it for the money.
