am i the only one that tears up every time they do the "The earth is DEFINITELY doomed" scene? EVERY time... its like unable to be stopped.... its completely bittersweet... and im not sure of it makes me happy or sad haha.
 
I get really upset with everything that reminds me that it's the end of the (televisioned) show. Maybe that's why I don't really like watching the last season. It depresses me. Huh.
 
It makes me smile. It's just one of those things where if you had watched from the beginning, it hits you even harder because you were there for the first "the earth is doomed" line
 
I still enjoy watching the end, there really isnt a part of the show i dont enjoy watching, but yea, it def hits harder because i saw the first line when it happend!

that and im a big ball of emotional dorkyness.

I love that line in Chosen, it goes back to the old times. I think it was The Pack where Giles said it first. I loved how the writers brought that old line back and put it in the finale 😀

Well, Joss did say the show was gonna go back to its roots. Or something.
 
I love that. I think it helped bring the show full circle and show you that though they've grown, and been through major changes, that they're still the same group we've known and loved the whole time.

To be honest, that scene reminds me of how bad season 7 is and how far the show as strayed from what it used to be. Seriously, Giles got torn apart and was basically a background prop, some of the potentials were more important than he was in this season

I like all seasons, I think its more real life for people to grow apart, then it would be if the group remained the same the whole time. Giles was like a father figure, and he wasnt as needed as he was when it started.

I love that line! It makes me happy and sad to put it simply. Still is one of my favorite lines of all time in Buffy!
 
I always chuckle. I love that they tie it back to the beginning. It makes me smile. And then this latest re-watch, I teared up because I realized it was once again, over.
 
What I loved about that whole scene was the misdirection. When Buffy first turned toward the other three, I thought there was going to be a sappy, sentimental scene about how they've been through so much for seven years, yada, yada. I even made my husband leave the room so I could thoroughly be in the scene. And then it turned into a trivial discussion about shopping, etc. - pure genius.

And it was The Harvest where the line was first said - right in the beginning. So it was a really neat way to bring the whole thing full circle.

Doesn't make up for how they mangled Giles in season 7 though.
 
I just love that scene! The part where Buffy walks with Willow and Xander in the hall and then hold hands with Xander and they give each other a look... Priceless(BANDER ALERT). For me that's when I remembered all they went through and where they started. Also that it was the end(at least on tv lol). Sad, yet great moment. 🙂
 
I love that part, although it makes me laugh/smile more than cry. Nothing dorky about crying at Buffy though! Her speech in Chosen is what makes me tear up.
