What would have happened if Buffy were to go to one of the big colleges she got into?
She did really good in the finals and got accepted to wonderful colleges, as she says. But in the end she decided to stay in Sunnydale and go to the local college. Now I wonder what could have happened if she did go away, far from Sunnydale, far from the hellmouth demons, far from home and friends. Also, maybe she could have become something like a doctor, a lawyer, etc. Whatever she wanted that is not a Slayer.

What do you think things would have been like if she did go, future wise, Slayer and demons wise, friends wise, career wise, etc.?

Hmmm, interesting point..... I honestly don't know. Maybe she would have become a school counseller like she did in season 7. I kinda find it hard to see Buffy in like a doctor career or a lawyer. I can maybe see her as a teacher.....but maybe that's just me 🙂

I think you mean "effect."

But, I agree with TeamSunnydale. Buffy really seemed to get into her psych class and I think that she might have still ended up as a school counselor. She has been through enough in her life to have empathy for just about anything.

I dont not say that either! you just PRESUMED one thing.
I don't know, as the Slayer trouble might have followed her everywhere. Also, the Hellmouth would've been left unguarded and she would not have allowed that.

But, say Faith had stayed on as a Slayer, guarding the Hellmouth? Yeah, I think Buffy would've excelled. At the beginning of season 5 she was really coming into her own in her classes, but her mother got sick and she had to drop out. That's real-life stuff there.

I'd be more curious to see how Willow would have turned out if she left Sunnydale.

I think she could've become a counselor or something. This might be a minority opinion, but I thought her job as the school counselor was a pretty good idea. I don't think she'd ever be a doctor or lawyer or something like that though. Just doesn't seem like Buffy to me.

I can actually see a post-Season 7 Buffy who actually got a chance at being a civilian going into emergency medicine. I think she would have taken some time out, weighed up her options and get herself educated. I feel that having been the slayer she would still need to help people. I can't think of any other profession where she could do the helping and still be Buffy.
