Mariah Carey' s new album definetly deserves a standing ovation in terms of artistic quality and music quality. Mariah set high standards for this record and surpassed them. The vocals are amazing! She sings to some powerfully written lyrics. This album is different from her other albums. It can be compared to a modern Butterfly album. It truly shows Mariah's growth and maturity. I listen to just about everything and I own every Mariah album/single. This new album should be picked up April 12th, 2005. It's definetly worth it...you guys should check it out(even if you weren't previous fans)!!!

Here are some personal reviews to some tracks on this album:

Her new single "It's Like That," is a party record and that's kind of fun. But don't let the simplicity of this song fool you. Listen to the other tracks before judgement. Fun is fun.

Mine Again...one of her best ballads ever. With a cool seventies vibe to it. Simply AMAZING!!!

We Belong Together...A sure to be radio hit due to it's whole the song's aura. Mid tempo rythm. Nice Beat. Nice vocal flow.

Get Ur Number...HOT!!!!!!! The beats, vocals just Oh WoW! Also, has an awesome seventies vibe. Mariah is so slick in this song.

To The Floor...Neptunes produced it so you know the tracks beats have to be good. Features Nelly.

Say Something...Produced by the Neptunes. Beats really creative. Song has nice overall feeling . Features the talented artist Snoop Dogg.

Fly Like A Bird...More seventies. Love the 70's Ballad! Tracks lyrics are quite inspirational.

I saw that post title and all I could think of was that simpson quote "emancipated! Don't you like being a dude!"................Well I thought it was funny anyway 😛.

Mariah had a HOT SHOT DEBUT on the Billboard 200...in the #1 spot!!!😀

Her work on her album was indeed appreciated. The songs rock! Recommend picking it up.

Alright! Go Mariah! I love that song to pieces...I just can't stop playing it! And of course, her album is just so good - very relaxed and isn't trying too hard this time! I'm glad she's got the no.1 song and album simultaneously - in my opinion she deserves it! :happy30:

Mariah's Performance of We Belong Together at The 2005 MTV Movie Awards was amazing! Everything was in Black&White and there she was in red. She looked and sounded great!

It was a great performance! I hope you get to see it eventually. I have my friends coming up to me and saying WOW Mariah was great on those MTV Awards. So that was good news :thumbsup:

Her performance was absolutely amazing. I love that song so much-I can't stop playing it-and that performance just made me like it even more, if that's possible!

This album is amazing. Mariah is back, baby!

i think its so cool, that she has finaly made a new cd, you know that isn't BAD.. cause a cople of her cds before thins on wasn't exacly wonderful 😉 i used to be such a big fan of her music when i was a bit younger.. (haha i'm 22, but speak like i should be 42 😉) i'm acually thinking of buying this one... i think its great though, that she has made a good record! good for her! 🙂
 
Finally saw the performance of her at the MTV movie awards last week! All I can say is: "STUNNING"! Nothing more to say!

I think her new single is going to be "Shake It Off", which is cool, but I would've preffered "Get your number"!

Polexia, definitly buy her album! It'll be money well spent! 😀
