Fox is apparently considering a series based on the Stallone movies about a team of "older" mercenaries played by movie action stars of bygone days

Using the same formula as applied to the movies, what former TV action stars do you think could be considered for the cast?

The first name that comes to my mind would be Chuck Norris as team leader. He already had a part in "Expendables 2" and that would serve as a connection between the movies and TV.

This doesn't surprise me and in a way it works better as a series because of the format. But I have no interest in seeing it.

That could be a fun show 🙂 Not sure who's been in the films (only seen the first one) but what about Pierce Brosnan?

Turning movies into TV shows does work occasionally, but it's getting a bit dull.

But if I have to suggest people, what about Kiefer Sutherland? Damian Lewis? David Harewood? Kit Harington? They've all played action roles on TV/in movies.

I may be in the minority (apparently am, I suppose, since they all were canceled) but I was a big fan of the TV series "Highlander," enjoyed "Terminator," and thought that "Tremors" was hilarious (I'm a big Bert Gummer fan) Given the right stars and some decent stories, I think that "The Expendables" has real potential. I'd watch a good action series over a sit com, soap opera, or game show any day, and, with the short season shows that we seem to be getting more and more of, there is certainly plenty of air time available.
