Ok this will be my last thread for awhile, sorry about the "Off Camera" one guys! Ive been a little scattered lately as some of my recent misadventures on here prove! lol. And yer still new to the whole internet discussion thing, yes I am going to milk that excuse for as long as I can!....Ok this is the last time I will milk it.
So back to the topic, is there anything that while you are watching buffy it takes away from the experience? that wrecks the whole "suspend your disbelief" idea?. For me its the stuntdoubles, yes I know that its a tv show and they don't have buckets of money, and you cant hurt a principal actor yada yada yada.... but when trying to get into an episode I cant help but giggle when it is extreamly noticable that it is not smg etc. I was watching Revelations recently and in the fight with Buffy and Faith there is a full on shot of eliza's stunt double's face, same with David's in Becoming part 2 and Graduation Day part 2.

The stunt doubles can get very annoying at times. Sometimes the lack of money showed, especially in the first seasons. But two things that clearly destroys moments for me is:

* Angel with a sword in him in the end of Bargening pt 2. It just looks so stupid ok? I love the scene itself but that just makes me laugh (yes I´m coldhearted).

* The mayor as the snake demon. Also looks stupid.

That´s all for now I guess.

Mine are minor and don't take away from the show, really (they do bother me though)....I don't much care for how the werewolves look....speaking of which....

I also could not wrap my mind around Oz with black hair, when he dyed it.

Mines not so much being pulled out of the Buffy world so much as minorly obsessing (is that even possible) over a small detail that might irk me abit.

Ok, way too late for an edit. No one notices the HUGE mistake in my last post ok? *goes to hide under a rock*

I have to think hard not to mess it up, too "B...ing 1&2" is just too similar, so I guess you're excused!

I totally agree. That finale had SO much potential, but I just can't get past it. It saps all the drama out of it in a second. I mean, imagine if Buffy had done that in The Gift! THAT'S how you do a "dying into big portal to hell" scene!

hey, even YOU couldnt tip off my obliviousness! :P it wasnt 'til reading IM's comment that it finally cleared up for me :).
I gasped with utter astonishment and disbelief, my jaw hit the ground and my eyes popped out my head, followed by me rolling around the floor laughing before it really hit me, then i was rather annoyed. All this happened when i saw Dark Willow flying around throwing fireballs
and pretty much having god power.

Also, that big snake demony thing in Shadow in s5, it looked so fake i was embarressed for the show.

ill go with stunt doubles.... they do my head in! grr style!!!! they are so OBVIOUS compared to some other shows

Wow. I thought I was the only one. Everyone else on here always seems to gush about that scene, but that bit always spoiled it for me. He just looks so stupid! I mean, standing straight up with one hand out like he's about to take a cup of coffee or something, it seriously screamed "We spent all our money on the portal, so we can't afford a harness". I can forgive stunt doubles, I can pretend silly snakes (and there were a few!) never happened, and I can even deal with Oz's moustache, but that was just too absurd for me. Especially for such a crucial climactic scene.

Isn´t it nice then we agree? :) It doesn´t just spoil the scene for me. I would never call it the best finale because of it. :( God, I hate it. Just terrible.
Was just watching OMWF, and gotta say that bit where Buffy does her freak-out dance during "Give Me Something", and the puppet demon guy keeps changing positions and even disappears entirely at one point is very distracting!.

Another distracting point, in Bargainning, all those silly biker demons riding around, how silly. Yeah, thats right, a bunch of demons flying down the road all the way from san fransisco to SD, and no one notices, very good Joss.
